Evening all,

Found your resource while researching my first set. Friends and I are looking to start a home game, and I volunteered to buy the set for our group.

I view the purchase as an heirloom that I will use for many years and have narrowed it down to several candidates. Looking for a 500 set that's high quality but not as high-priced as Paulson.

I presume the proper forum to ask for opinions is Casino Cage>Poker Chip General?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe read this post first, before you buy anything, there is a new member post in my signature as well, landscape on mobile
Very informative! I will admit I can't answer all the questions listed in the thread at this exact moment, but I based it mainly off projected blinds and probable number of players [less than 10, I expect 5-8]. Excellent point about having a bit more for the bank than necessary, just in case.

I've been focused on researching the quality manufacturers moreso than the exact size of the set I end up choosing, because I view it as an investment. Regardless of size, I want to do my buddies proud by presenting a high-quality set for us all to enjoy. Forgive me if any of this reaks of a guy re-familiarizing myself with all the mechanics after not playing in 10 years

I should say his given name, not his nickname. It became my nickname thanks to my friend:cool
