Hello everyone. I played real Texas Holdem for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a great time with my friends. I quickly started going down a rabbit hole for buying some chips for casual at-home play and found this place. I'd like to get a nice chip set that my friends and I can use to play regularly. Thanks for all the cool stuff on these forums!

Some folks never learn… “A” set??? Is that really all your friends are worth to you is A set of nice poker chips?? They deserve options!

Those are just the tournament sets… I absolutely hate when people have to play the same chip set in a single league twice in one season!

I do understand you are new to the hobby but please don’t limit your dreams down to a single set right off the break… I mean, cash, tourney, limit… gotta have different sets for each!

You will hear on here that it’s for security purposes to not use the same set for cash and tourney “what if someone sneaks a tourney chip into the cash game” for one, no one ever does that shit and two the group isn’t that big, figure out who the piece of crap is and deal with them!

The truth is, sure you can use the same set… but what’s the fun in that? I used to play cash and tourney in my home game with this set for years!

Now look what happened from this place! A few of those sets above cost more than my Honda brand new ($34k)

Good luck with your chipping journey, may you have more self restraint than many of us around here.

@Ben8257 Wow, what a beautiful collection. Who is the manufacturer for those Vegas chips? And what year did those start being made? I really like the color scheme of that chip selection, it is exactly what I am looking for (at least for the first set  ).

I've watched a couple videos about CPC vs Paulson and I really like the way the Paulson chips sound. I need to get a sample of each to understand the feel of them, but I haven't seen any with the Vegas chip color scheme that you have there. Any suggestions?
