New-ish here, looking to build a set (3 Viewers)

I made an account a while back but haven't been active in a long time. As most here, the rabbit hole of chips brought me here. I'm looking to make my first custom set for cash games.

Already have the chips, just in the process of the daunting task of what to do with the inlay labels. Our game tends to play .05/.10 but the set I bought (mostly milanos) came with just under 1,900 chips in 8 different colors. My idea was to have this set be for .05/.10 all the way up to possible 5/10 blinds but maybe cutting the set in half to have a cash set and a tourney set? Not sure but figured to get my karma up here, this would be a good starting point.

Welcome! With 1,900 chips, I'd think you could certainly make two sets.

The amounts I have are:
500 bright red (these aren't Milano, not sure what make they are tbh)
350 green
309 brown (thought about getting enough for 350)
300 red
175 purple (thought about getting enough for 200)
100 pink
50 white
50 black

I suppose the issue is finding someone who will do both cash and tourney labels or finding a group that is in need of both. Luckily the tourney denoms seem to be fairly standard. The cash game needs for me are more on the micro stake side and most of what I've seen around here, people rarely go below $1 denoms.

Otherwise, moving the colors to be more standard would be my advice.

Shoot, sorry for the late reply.. for some reason I don't get notifications on my phone for things here. You do bring up a good point. Playing that big of games is unlikely. I suppose it was more to use the chips since I already have them all but maybe the unused for a tourney set?

How were you planning on labeling these? If it's an outside vendor, that can get pricey...some are in the 50 to 60 cents-per-chip range.
At that cost, you could do full custom hybrid ceramics...and get a better chip, imo. And a perfect breakdown for cash and tournament sets.

Yea, this is a bit of a concern... my original plan was to do a Colorado sports team theme to the chips but this would mean doing everything myself which is a bit out of my expertise. Not against learning, just probably not a quick solution. Then looked at prices for some sort of outside help with some other type of theme and that price is a bit tough.

Hybrids are great, a ceramic base with a high quality label. Justin runs group buys every month through his vendor page here on PCF. This is the current group buy:
