Hi guys - i've always loved poker chips, but never really had a unique / quality set. Started searching a few weeks ago and quickly realized people are really into these things! Also discovered that you cant just order a custom set of Paulsons or something similar direct from the manufacturer! Bummer! That said, I'm going to start piecing together my first collection so joined the forum and i'm on the hunt! Looking forward to gaining some knowledge along the way.

Also - what does "murdered" mean?

Welcome to PCF !
« Murder » here means to remove the original inlay (label) so that it can be replaced with another laminated label.

Welcome!

“Murdered” is generally “milled and inlay removed” meaning it has been murdered and can never be returned to original.

“Milled” is where the center is milled away with a mill bit and drill press creating a slight recess to allow for a new label to applied .

“Re-label” is when you just remove the label without milling. (Can be a PIA and paper labels is just self inflicted torture)

“Over-label” is just putting a new label on top of the existing label. (No chips are harmed in the process)
