Sitting Out
Hi there,
I'm a relatively new chipper who just bought a set of 500 China Clays (Olympus) because I loved the texture, sound, weight and overall feel of them. I chose them because I was on budget and just really enjoyed them even over the hybrid Tina and BRpro ceramics samples I got.
I read that they are the probably the closest in feel to a real clay chip. I've never handled real clays before, so I'd love to get samples because I think I'll love them.
In particular:
- ASM hot stamps samples
- CPC samples
I guess I'm not too fussy about specifics, but I do prefer a molded chip over a non-molded. I love a classic poker chip look. Definitely don't need any rare chips, ideally something on the on the more frugal end. I was thinking some Paulson samples would be cool to check out, but my brief look into the For Sale section made me realize that even a sample set maybe too pricey.
I've caught the poker chip bug. These samples would help guide me for my next set, which will probably be way off in the future. But until then, I'd love to get a sense of what's out there and plan/save accordingly! And shuffle them incessantly.
Any suggestions or insights for me would be much appreciated as well. Thankful for this awesome community, and am super glad to have upgraded my dice chip set to China Clays, even though it is just a stepping stone!
