The chips are.. yikes. 3 different 1s, 4 different 5s. Clays on the way out. Remaining Clay 25s and and some 5s seriously thin bike tires.

Last year was 3 different $1s. 4 different $5s. 2 different $2s. Maybe now up to 4 different $1s!!!

I recently watched this video on the dire state of manufacturing in the US and it does paint a rather long term bleak picture.

The good news towards the end was manufacturing that can thrive is the highly specialised type if network efficiency come into play.
I’d imagine it not so much the making of these chips that is expensive but the maintenance and materials cost that goes into the chips.
