Every other tournament set I’ve owned I’ve sold, but somehow kept these because “I have to have one tourney set”. Too bad I’ve never used em.

Not in a negative way. My speed run concluded with hosting a meetup.

I was active here for about 3 1/2 years. At the start, had never really hosted poker and never played a cash game or played at Vegas.

Bought and sold probably about 150,000 chips.
Banned, unbanned, rebanned on accident?, reunbanned.
Attended meetups, hosted meet up.
> 10k posts.
Found several off site hoards or finds to share with folks (chips, chairs, cards, etc.).
Played WSOP events.
Procured 2 forever sets and hundreds of custom samples.

I checked off most things I wanted to do, not super in love with the idea of needing my own custom set at the moment. So I'd say less "out" and more so naturally reached a quieter stage. None of the non-classifieds threads are new topics, and I was never here for the chips as a priority, so the value isn't quite there.

Once the kids are a bit older, my company more mature, and my wife's career a bit settled, I'll start attending more meetups, joining more text groups, and be active through there.

All that being said I've enjoyed myself and have no complaints. How many chippers here who are much more active haven't had the luck to run out of a casino with thousands of mint chips in bags giggling like school girls while you pack pillowcases full? How many have never got to sit on an old mans porch and rummage through his cali card room set before buying rounds for his bar? How many people weren't able to obtain a chip set from their home casino?

I count myself quite blessed as far as poker is concerned. At my current stage and with what this site currently offers, there just isn't a value add proposition in being active.

I'll be here for some custom sample pickups and such and more when it comes time for WaB III, but I'm not hitting 20k anytime in the next couple of years.

Oh dude that’s long been know. Why do you think my wife and kids leave for the meetup and everyone spends the night? That’s not news.

And for sure, gotta get meetup ready! That’s mostly off site prep. Glassware, cut cards, etc. Only on-site purchase for that will be a specific rack.

Also need to figure out wtf to do with these Tigers. Honestly if I did it over, I'd buy them again. Having everything out, every other chip pales into comparison and I personally enjoy the view of the sun inches from my face in a chip.

I'd rather keep them then have to sell them low and end up buying them back for even more later....

Gonna ask the wife if we can keep the Tigers and my Paris add on. If I get the yes, they're coming down. If I get the no, well, then someone needs to buy my damn claw set
