Hi All,

Looking to organize a tourney a couple of months down the road and want to know thoughts on the best structure/starting stacks based on my chips and if I should consider adding any chips to the count. It is ok if the tournament lasts from 6-8 hours (time is not too much of a concern) and I would like to have rebuys. Ideally I would love to figure out a good structure from what I have but can add some chips if it is absolutely necessary.

Current breakdown:
220 x T25
220 x T100
160 x T500
120 x T1000
60 x T5000

Thanks for the help!

Looks like you make a good set of T10K stacks, but it would help to know how many players you would be anticipating, but assuming under 27 I have two good options for you.

(T25/T100/T500/T1000/T5000)
Up to 18 Players: 12/12/7/6
Up to 27 Players: 8/8/4/2/1

You probably would be better off with 80 more T1000 chips in your set if you need to accommodate 27 stacks. Being able to do 8/8/4/7 keeps your keeping your T5000s in your bank for rebuys and add-ons.

In any case I think 60 T5000s for Re-entries is sufficient, unless we are talking more than 27 players.

My suggested stucture:
25-50, 25-75, 50-100, 75-150, 100-200, 150-300 (5 levels remove T25)
200-400, 300-600, 400-800, 600-1200, 800-1600, (5 levels remove T100)
1000-2000, 1500-3000 (2 levels remove T500)
2000-4000,
3000-6000,
4000-8000 (est end with 16 entries),
6000-12000 (est end with 24 entries),
8000-16000 (est end with 32 entries, remove T1000)
10000-20000 (estimated end with 40 entries)

18-25 minute levels should get you to your target duration of around 6-8 hours.

Okay just noticed your title said 24 players.

Then you can just squeeze in 8/8/6/4 for T8000 stacks. You don't have quite enough T1000 to do full T10000 stacks, so if you can add T1000 that's the only change I would make in your case, or just stick with T8000, this is still a pretty good structure for that size in my humble opinion.

Thanks! How many T1000 do I need to make a T10000 work?

Well I suppose at least 2 extra per player, rounding to the next 20 I'd say 60 more would do, get 80 more if you would like to reduce the T500 to an 8/8/4/7 stack.
