I also have this rack of red solid quarters, but no spares like the other denoms, exactly x100:

If you take the whole 1000-chip set for $425 shipped within the U.S. (plus spares, dealer button/cut cards), I'll throw in this rack in for free (if you want it).

I'd also be willing to split off a micro-stakes set, all 0.05, 0.10, these red 0.25, and 0.50; 400 chips (plus spares for the nickels, dimes, and 50¢) for $160 shipped within the U.S.. I'll throw in a NCC button and a cut card in the size (bridge or poker) of your choosing.

The remaining 700 chips (peach 25¢, all $1s, $5s, $25s, $100s, plus spares) I'd sell for $280 shipped within the U.S., and include a NCC button and a cut card of each size (bridge and poker).

Bump. New chipper discount still in effect for the split sets. Get $5-$25 off if you joined PCF in 2021 or later on the entire set (with the free rack of solid red 25¢), or on the 400-chip micro-stakes split set, or on the 700-chip split set.

If you joined PCF this year or last year, the micro-stakes set would only be $135-$140 shipped within the U.S.!

I’ll take the 700 chip split set option:

25¢ x 100
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$25 x 100
$100 x 100

1. Why don't the group buys in the card mold anymore?

Justin does still offer cards mold chips. If you look at his latest chips GB thread it does list them.

Cards Mold
39mm- $.43 each
43mm- $.48 each

Wow, they've gone up in price a bit. I think that the other molds, being newer, are currently more popular.

2. Will my wife be less mad if I say the chips are like a rental?

Haha, can't help you with how your wife will feel, but I actually do kind of see many of my chip purchases as a rental. I'm definitely taking a loss on selling this set especially with the new chipper discount, but I'm recouping a decent portion of my original cost. Not many hobbies (outside of collectibles) allow people to recover their expenses, and sometimes even profit.

If you're interested in the remaining 400-chip micro-stakes set (5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢), you do qualify for the max new chipper discount, since you just joined this year. So the set would only cost you $135 shipped within the U.S. Selling at a loss again, but better than them sitting in a chip case unused, and hopefully it helps a new chipper out!

I wonder if all the chips are hybrids now tho. They old cards molds weren’t.

The GB thread says the only non-hybrid chips available are cards mold and no-mold textured (like the Bellagio tributes that came out a few years ago), so you can still get new non-hybrid chips.

All the other mold options (web, Greek, sun, Tangiers, jester) are hybrid though...
