Just received my first Paulson's set of chips.

WOW! It was nice to sample this chip and then proceed to order.

Having them in my possession is even better. I can't wait to host a cash game with these.

I don't know I'll ever need the $25 and $100. However, I hope with enough money and time here..I can build a tourney set out of it as well.

And I forgot to shout out to @asian bino for making this (my first ever PCF transaction) a joy. He sent them fast and undamaged. Couldn't be happier

Thanks man! I'm pretty impressed with these Paulson's.

I am definitely looking for fracs.

Just...gotta let my "financial planner" absorb what I did this past week.;)

I love the Paulson Classics. It’s what got me into buying nice chips a long time ago. We used to play with Classics and coincidentally when I went to search for Paulson chips, the Le Noirs just came out on Sidepot’s website, which I then I bought.

It's sacrilegious not to use all of those, including the $25 and $100s. You'll just have to play more aggressive so you'll get more buy ins... :) Nice set!

I'm literally in the process of acquiring a rack of THC greens (within 12hrs;)) I plan to have them milled and relabeled as fracs by @Gear PM Sent.

Should make a fine addition for my kind of cash game.

Nice set!

Nice set. Don't oil them
Yeah, don't oil them. Paulsons may really need oil only after serious cleaning (ie after having been acquired as filthy casino-used). No oil for home-used sets.
I'm on the other side of this debate -- in the pro-oil camp. But a very light amount for new Paulsons.

Copying a post of mine from another thread:
Oil away! A light layer on the edges of barrels for new chips. Why not put a layer of protection into the clay before people's hands start touching them. The color saturation benefit to mint chips may not be as noticeable as oiling chalky, cleaned, dry chips, but I'm in the pro-oil camp. Use a rag, but barely damp with mineral oil. Mineral oil does not go rancid, like other food/vegetable based oils. The rag will last for months for lightly oiling other chips and re-oiling edges.

Sorry...messed up that post.

@Han Trinh ...the prices were just a bit too much for me. Factor in the cost of relabel and it is a too high at present time.

I was also interested in @lasse1910 auction for a while bunch of these...but after relabel...costs are astronomical.

Hoping to go a cheaper route. The blue would be Amaaaaaaazing

It has also been suggested that a light oiling may help prevent or reduce colour transfer between chips of certain colours. It was mentioned in a thread @Changster started on the topic. I’m not sure how much it helps. But I imagine it probably helps.

Also, I don't know what stakes you play, but I host two games. One is a $1/$2 game and I play the chips as is and the other is a 25/50 cent game and I use the greens as 25 cent chips. It's a nice fix for smaller stakes.
