Also agree.... doesn't seem shipping is @Pippa worry Communication is..... I've had plenty of shipping delays in whirlwind sales but unless the pm got lost I always communicate! even from Vegas which is where Ill be tonight!!!!!!I fully agree with you @Pippa , a simple message saying everything is ok but more time is needed takes what, 1 minute? I’ll give whatever time is needed in your shoes but not communicating at all is pretty much never acceptable
I think we (as in the community) is waaaaaay too forgiving when leaving feedback (myself included). It’s such a stigma around leaving negative feedback that one doesn’t want to do it unless someone flat out ripped you offI definitely see your point regarding sending a quick message that says "sorry, I got caught up in something, I'll ship these out ASAP" when it was said you'd have tracking yesterday.
Believe me, I've been in your shoes waiting weeks before chips that I paid for immediately shipped, but I tried to trust the process knowing that the seller was in good standing here and probably was busy with some IRL stuff. I ended up sending a follow up about a week later and got a reply a couple of days later apologizing and that the chips would go out the following week. Chips arrived safely and positive feedback was given.
I was going to say something similar. I’ve had PCF up in a tab that goes to “sleep” on a computer and accidentally clicking on it “wakes” it up and refreshes the page automatically. Happens on my iPhone too.Maybe he is AFK but left his computer on, logged into PCF?
Exactly my friend!!!!!I was going to say something similar. I’ve had PCF up in a tab that goes to “sleep” on a computer and accidentally clicking on it “wakes” it up and refreshes the page automatically. Happens on my iPhone too.
Unrelated to sales but sometimes I’m having a conversation with someone and I tell them I’m gonna be away from PCF for a while and will get back to them when I have a chance and then the above happens and I think the other person’s gonna think I’m checking PCF but not responding to them.
But if I were in the middle of a sale, and someone’s messaging me, I’d take a few seconds to respond asap.
I hear you, but where do you draw the line?I think we (as in the community) is waaaaaay too forgiving when leaving feedback (myself included). It’s such a stigma around leaving negative feedback that one doesn’t want to do it unless someone flat out ripped you off
I agree, it is a problem but a difficult one to solveI hear you, but where do you draw the line?
Let's take this scenario as an example. Pippa pays for chips over the weekend. Seller states that he'll ship Monday. However, seller's loved one has to go to the hospital because of injury or illness or they themselves are hospitalized because they blew out their knee playing softball on Sunday. Pippa leaves negative feedback because he's upset chips didn't get shipped when stated.
However, as the seller here, I'd be really upset to have received a negative feedback due to something out of my control. I'm not going to be checking PCF if I needed emergency surgery or if my kid was sick.
I understand what you're saying, but these kinds of things are more nuanced than meets the eye. When I sell, I try to never say "I'm going to ship on "X" day", I just say I'll send tracking when I'm able, but if I can't ship for at least a few days, I make sure I say so.
Only I need is a messageI hear you, but where do you draw the line?

Where did you find my picture????
Wait. He said, on Saturday, "I'll mail yours out on Monday and follow up with tracking." Today is tuesday. He isn't even a day late on communication yet.I fully agree with you @Pippa , a simple message saying everything is ok but more time is needed takes what, 1 minute? @Ben8257 waiting for his chips from @RivieraDannyAnybody else ever get a PM driving home and say "I'll answer in a little bit" then get sidetracked and forget, member sends another message a couple days later as a reminder... definitely has happened to me!
This is an established member of the community and outing him over failure to respond in a couple days is brutal. For the record we recieved chips from him yesterday and he has been nothing but amazing helping @FordPickup92 and I out!
Now put yourself in his shoes, feeling embarrassed from being outed over a couple days of not responding. I get it's a mistake, his response probably would have started with "sorry" now who knows. What could have been a good friendship is likely just a burnt bridge now. More bad blood we don't need on the forum.
For the record even if negative feedback gets left over this, I 100% would and will deal with my friend @chicubs1988 in the future.
Couple damn days... SMH

I'd be absolutely shocked if this ends poorly for you. Go have a beer and relax.Only I need is a message
End the story
I’m not drinking alcohol or smokingI'd be absolutely shocked if this ends poorly for you. Go have a beer and relax.
It is a little premature, I agreeWait. He said, on Saturday, "I'll mail yours out on Monday and follow up with tracking." Today is tuesday. He isn't even a day late on communication yet.
I'm kinda feeling like @Pippa public stalking of this guy is worse behavior than being less than a day late with communication.
But why he watching the forum and no respond to mine and @RivieraDanny messages??????Wait. He said, on Saturday, "I'll mail yours out on Monday and follow up with tracking." Today is tuesday. He isn't even a day late on communication yet.
