Thanks to @TheBigTater i finally have a $5 for the set,

I'm pretty sure i'll use the HP $20s for this, but wouldn't mind seeing what people think about the other options.
I threw the Desert Oasis on there, even though i'll probably not use those.
And at some point i'll be swapping out the quarters for something else too.


With HP $20s:

Aztar $25

Desert Oasis $20s

that's a tough one. I love the desert oasis. However I think the Aztar flows better with the set.

I would avoid a progression that goes hot stamp, to inlay, back to hot stamp, so I would rule out the Oasis.

And although I love the Aztar $25, I actually think the HP $20 works the best here. Very nice.

My vote is for the aztars, I think they look great with the set and fit the progression nicely.

I’d also like to suggest the pca secondary $25 just because they are my favourite green chip ever. I regret ever selling mine.

Before I saw the chips I was locked into a vote for the $20 because I strongly prefer a 20 to a 25 in a cash set. Then I saw the pics - those 25s look perfect in this set.

HP’s is my vote.
The Aztars look great too and there’s a big part of me that wants to see green after red. But I think since the 20 is your big chip, the black works fine.
GORGEOUS set either way.

Yes. Inlay on the HP is better than the Aztar but for me, the edge spots on the Aztar give a progression to the set better than the HP.

Also, a yellow frac would look crazy good with this set. The current pink frac and red/pink $5 could use more contrast.

I didn’t think about the inlay at first because I was blinded by the aztars, but you are right about the hp inlay fitting better.

I still prefer the aztars but it’s close. Just keep them both and mix them in and out.

I think HP inlay fits better with the set. Also the Casino's used in the set are not that common, which I think is another nod toward the HP.

I like $20's over $25 for cash but either the HP's or the Aztar's work depending on which denom you prefer. Although the spot progression from the $5 to the HP $20 goes backwards (if your OCD about those things)

Pictures really don't do the $5's justice, they pop in person. BTW looks like one of the $5 stacks is short (hope I didn't short you).

Though spot. I voted Aztars because i think its a much nicer looking chip in general, but still the HP might work better with this set because of the more old school look. Im torn, but think i would prefer the aztar, but mostly because im personally not a huge fan of the HP 20.

I dont mind the spot progression as the inlay and spots really stand out on the HP $20, the $5s are little more subtle.

I think i like the flow/ styling of the $20 over the $25 more, the $25 is really nice but stands out a little too much, maybe its too sharp of a color and inlay font?, every other denom has more subtle coloring etc.

The missing chip is the error chip! i'll put it back in when i dig it out of my suitcase. And thanks again, since i sold all my Tropicana hot stamp $5s, this set has had a large hole in it. Till now.

Not sure i like 50c chips.

Spot progression goes to the Aztar $25, but a cool black $20 is different for sure!!! So many sets have a green $25.

Plus you can get a few more $20's in play than the $25's.

My vote is for the HP $20.

For me the Aztar $25s pop more within the set, and gives you the option or getting a couple of barrels of black hindis if you decide to do so. So it's Aztar > HP >>>>>>>>>> Desert Oasis for me.
