Yeah that’s friggen weird. I know the mirage $5s are impossible to find so maybe the $1s are getting that way too?
Sometimes when you see something like that you wonder if it’s shill bidding or money laundering or what. But that’s a reputable seller that I trust, so I dunno. Crazy stuff.

The bidding is between two accounts. It could certainly be the auction lister pumping it through shill accounts. I just don't know what the end game would be in that case.

yeah I’ve bought from this seller before so I’d consider them reputable. But there’s literally buy it nows for the same chip elsewhere for ~$10 interesting.

Some set collectors have seemingly bottomless pockets. If two of them are after the same "long gone" live chips, sometimes you see an auction for a single turn into a penis measuring contest. I don't think there is anything shady here.
