Found Mint PCA Primaries and 1 Barrel of $500's (1 Viewer)

I know this is probably a futile effort, but now that my cash set has reached 1400 PC's and I have a couple mint racks in the collection I want to see if it's possible to find more. So if you're sitting on some mint PCA primaries and you want to move them let me know. I know these are the holy Grail for some and people likely won't part with them, but you never know till you ask.

I have a rack of fracs that I intended to relabel; however, they are just sitting in a drawer. I have never put into play. I can't say that they have never seen the felt. PM if interested and I'll attach photos.

Yeah primaries. I have 2 racks of the secondary 1s that I'm still working up the courage to build into a set. I just feel like I have too many unfinished things with the primaries.

The only PCA primaries that were available in mint condition were the .50’s, $1’s and the $500’s. There were a decent amount of 100’s that were in excellent condition and years ago I had what I would call a very good condition rack of $25’s that I cherry picked out of 7 racks. The primary $5’s were basically all bicycle tires. I asked Jim if he would cherry pick me a couple racks and I would pay extra and he said it was pretty much impossible. I owned 1500 $5’s at one point and couldn’t even put together a good barrel.

I absolutely understand what you're saying. I've pieced together 5 racks of 1s that I would say are good to very good. Some of those are slight better than that but no where near a full rack. My 5s I would say vary between casino used to good. I do have some very good 5s. 25s are good to very good. 100s are very good to near mint.

I've sifted through roughly 4000 chips I'd say to get to this point? It's been a painstakingly time consuming process. I'm actually cleaning my last rack of my 1400 PC set right now. Just figured I'd see what's out there.

I do know that either through cherry picking or some other means there are some very good and higher racks of 5s. I've personally saw a couple. I'd imagine they were just cherry picked though.

By the time I had asked Jim about the $5’s he had been selling them for a few months so maybe some had been put together before then but I never saw any. Would love to see some pics of any good or better condition $5’s out there, I always liked the primary $5s and wish I hadn’t sold all of mine.

Hey @Marhault, I bought some of your last few racks of PCA primary casino-used condition chips. They cleaned up decently. Do you have more chips sitting around that you would trade for mint PCA primaries? If so, please PM me what you are thinking. I have never intended to part with any of my mint PCAs. I am in the same boat as you though, I have a lot of moving projects that I have been trying to complete over the past couple of years and I am finally wrapping most of them up and ready to hit Gear for labels where necessary. If I could get a primary casino used set placed together, I would potentially part with some mint chips.
