Impressive... I'm hoping to have my own relabled paulsons in the 12 to 18 months and milling chips may have to be part of that project - you make it look very easy.

The hard part is getting a drill press setup, once that’s dailed in it gets easier.

Well done!
You don‘t have issues with crumbling edges, if the original recess was not dead center?

Are you milling at a very low speed or is that just how the camera is picking it up? Also, do you have a pre set depth that stops you from over milling too deep? Nicely done!

The camera is doing tricks, but it is also very low speed setting on the press..

Never had that problem,
I’ve been trying to not go as deep.
Interesting.
When the jig cross a decentered recess, there‘s no clay crumbling off that new fine line?

How much you mill off / how deep is the recess after milling? ~.25mm is about usual.

Thx

No, I don’t think so, at least not a critical amount. I always send them for a water bath and a wipe down after, there is small particles abound the edges, but I wouldn’t consider it a “crumble”

Here’s a few random samples where they aren’t perfect centering. Close ups. This is the worst of the chips, all different chips.

I am by no means an expert, but I don’t think any crumbling going on.
