Hello All,

I have a microstakes cash set and am going to add to it, anticipating more players in the future. Max 9. I’m adding to be able to do 5c/10c - 25c/25c or possibly 25c/50c max (doubt that will happen soon).
List of my current micro stakes set:
5c x 200
25c x 200
$1 x 100

After reading some threads I gather that my 200 nickels is too much for single table, which I get now and that 300 - 400 workhorse chip is ideal. It also seems that 200 quarters is like the most youd need usually for cash games. My question is that, If you are playing micro stakes and I would imagine the quarter would be the work horse chip, would it be ideal to get a larger amount of quarters than 200? I would like to up the stakes to 10c/25c eventually, which would make the additional quarters be too much i think, but should the game not raise, would I be wasting $ buying more quarters when I might never use them? I do like having lots of chips on table but I see that it comes with issues and changing bet sizes

Here’s the current “cart” of chippies I’m ordering, debating on adding a few more quarters

$1 x 200 (might make it 300 yet idk)
$5 x 100
$25 x 20

I appreciate any input

Cheers,

$1 Chips would be your workhorse chips in a 5-10c or 10-25c game.

100 x 5c
200 x 25c
200 x $1
80 x $5
20 x $20/$25

Are enough to cover any 5c/10c stake to 25c/25c stake
