MGM National Harbor Casino (2 Viewers)

$20's aren't too shabby:
Thanks to everyone posting pics! These are great.

Would it be wrong to organize a boycott of the Casino, just to hope it goes out of business in a couple years, so Jim can buy all the chips? I'd like a rack or 2 of those yellow $20s, but more around $2 a chip, not at $20 a chip. :(

I prefer THC to RHC because I think the mold is more attractive, I like having more exposed clay for both aesthetics, sound, durability, and feel. I also feel THC chips wear better as I vastly prefer worn THC to worn RHC.
FYP.

Probably comes down to cost. I would think that its their cheapest option.
Nope. Bud Jones chips are cheaper; so are GPI's Blue Chip line of clays (on the old BCC sun mold).

It's mostly marketing push from GPI sales staff - the RHC is their go-to mold unless the customer requests something different. The artwork is usually done in-house by GPI staff (so now you know who to blame most of the time).

Best use of the new half-circle (HC) spots that I've seen to date.

Those $20's are damn sexy!

Let me know if anyone is interested in any MGM chips. I might make a trip this weekend. If not I will definitely be there in the next couple months.

Apparently they are now actively trying to dissuade people from coming this weekend.

They look great, don't they?
As soon as I say those stacked $20's, I thought, maybe I'd like to build a mixed casino set around those $20's.
Then it occurred to me that those $20's cost $20 each. Ha. Maybe some other time.

Beautiful casino/hotel/shops/spa/etc. from all the stories and sneak peeks the local tv stations have shown, pretty much what I'd expect from an MGM property.
But that's an interesting pic of the poker room...potentially puts people close to slot machines? I'm not big on having to tune that out for hours on end, I hope its OK in person!

The news has been full of stories of people who have had to turn around on the roads before they can even get close to the casino because its so busy. I think I'll wait till the holidays are over before checking it out.

Edit- that's quite an unblocked view of the doors leading outside! Looks like not every casino cares to hide the outside world from its guests

If you don't mind, I would like a sample set, $1-$20. If you can grab those denominations for me, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I too would like a sample from 1 to 20 please. Thanks

I'd guess those are 43mm $1000s on the bottom with 39mm $500s just above (and below the $100s).

Those are dark $500s. I had to look twice to see them. Black $100s with dark purple $500s can be difficult to distinguish under low light. Just ask anyone that has primary $500s in their PNY set. (One of the few things I don't like about PNYs)
