Up for sale:

200 x Mapes $5 --> $200/rack

I sold these several weeks ago, but I cancelled the sale before shipping, because I noticed that the stacks had a little more wobble than the stacks of bricks that I'm used to. As you can see from some of the photos, there are a few of the chips that have a bit of warp to them, and would benefit from flattening. I thought I was going to do this (I don't know how, but I thought I'd learn), and then post them for sale again. Turns out, I haven't made the time to learn how to flatten chips -- so I'm hoping that somebody who wants these also knows how to flatten them. They are not super warped. They don't "spin" or anything like that. But you can see the little extra space between some of the chips -- the stacks wobble a little bit. Just wanted the buyer to know this -- I didn't know this when I bought them. Otherwise, very nice condition! And some very cool chips!

Buyer to pay shipping and paypal fees.

Enjoy.

ohhhhhh.... so tempting. Good price, too! I almost can't believe these are cheaper than the Emerald Princess snappers... won't last long.

Yum! Yum! They appear to be oiled, no?

Not oiled. Almost all are chalky minty yum. Only a handful (i will count if I must) are less than mint, and they look smooth on the ship edge in the photo.

Great chips, and I'm sorely tempted -- but only a few of those chips look to me like they're anywhere near mint. Very few.

But then I'm old and blind...{shrug}

I agree, that although they were called "MINT" by the person I bought them from, I would call them closer to near mint. Still they pretty darn good in person, at least to me. And at a pretty good price for casino TRKs! I'm trying to be as honest as possible about the condition. They're pretty sweet.

A moment of weakness?

Wow... first the Crystal Park Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" chips, and now these - the Pink Floyd "Momentary Lapse of Reason" chips. I'm detecting a theme.

If you ever see me selling my Mapes, something REALLY bad has happened. I love the chips and the casino history. I wish I could have visited the actual cadino/hotel before it was torn down.

good luck with the sale

Very nice liftapint. If I bought these I would need to find 1's then 25's and so on and so on....sorry I gotta pass. Good luck..

Oh, I dunno. I have seen some pretty neat TRK mixed sets, that could do until you find those Mapes $1. For that matter, there are some pretty great Mapes labels! Options!!

I have it on good authority that this slight wobble feature is pretty standard for Mapes $5.

I have one Mapes $5 chip, and it doesn't wobble. At least I don't think it does. Would need more to be sure. :cool:

GL with the sale. You have no idea how hard I'm trying to stay off the TRK train.

I'm still on the TRK train and am having a hard time staying away from these! Arg!!
I love these chips!!

Posting for sale. Kings Crown, mostly.

but in other news, Mapes are pending.

kings crown-- one set of each, cash and tourney!
only thing in the works is me trying to raise money to buy a house. Questionable priorities! :)

Mapes SOLD.
