I know it may be counterintuitive to many, but i'd ask each for their best and final price. You don't have to worry about playing favorites, and the loser has no one to blame but himself/herself...

No help really. I believe I've seen Tommy say that he prefers the post first then PM method, but that it's up to each individual seller to d it how they want.

It worked out very amenably. I flipped. Thread poster won. By the time I was sending the results, the PMer had already graciously offered to defer to the thread poster. All good.
