A little bit of context: I play micro-stakes poker and board games at home. Got a set of (functional but ugly) ABS chips that I use for both and I feel it's time for an upgrade.
Currently I can get away with a set of just 300 chips in 1's, 5's, 25's, 100's and a couple of 500's.
Depending on the price and how much I like the chips I might go to 500 chips total, but I'd like to avoid it if I can.
I'm a little price conscious. I believe the academics call it "being Dutch".

I've looked at a lot of chips, read way too many threads and have narrowed my options down to:
- Asconas (got samples)
- Apache Bank (got samples)
- Tina hybrids, leaning towards the Greek mold (no samples)

The Ascona colors and swirly stuff are great. Dislike the circle of text. "The Ascona" itself is inoffensive enough.
The Bank's sticker style is great because it's very inoffensive. Dislike the harsh white and green of the 1 and 25. Also dislike the fact that the 1 and 5 have the same style edge spots.
Custom Tina chips have some obvious pros as far as design goes, but I'm unsure about the feel of the chips and the hassle of solo-ordering.

I wasn't expecting this, but I ended up slightly prefering the feel of the Bank chips over the Ascona ones.

Other chips that I know of have colors or stickers/inlays that are too loud for me. (No accounting for taste.)
Notable exception being the DDLM chips. If I only played poker I'd get those in a heartbeat.

I'd be happy to hear opinions about the above mentioned chips and/or solo-ordering experiences (especially from other European members)!
Other suggestions are welcome too, of course!

Well, if even the Dutch are 'being Dutch' then what world can we hope to leave our children?

Welcome, and I hope you get ylthe answers youlooking for. Out of your choices, I would get Tina hybrids every time.

What did you end up doing? I'm in a similar boat as I don't know whether I should stick with my poo poo ABS chips or get some Tina's. If you did bite the bullet, how was your experience?

I’m about to order my first Tina hybrids. The options are amazing!
Check out the group buy as above.
