He was one of the kindest most generous of souls I've had the privilege of knowing personally.
My heart breaks for his family.
His presence, and the joy he could bring to a room, will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace Berny.
We had some good text conversations while we traded, bought & sold CDI 98s back and forth. I eventually sold him my set for an embarrassingly low price because he was, as the OP said, a class act and because I knew he would enjoy those particular chips far more than I would. I suspect he did
To those who knew him personally I am truly sorry for your loss.
I never had a chance to meet Berny in person, but I exchanged texts and messages with him on sales both here an on eBay. It's going to be strange not seeing new posts from him.
Wow… I don’t think I talked with him much, maybe only a few times but this surprised me.
Always seemed so outgoing and helpful to new members on the forum. I was always impressed when he found new CDI chips to add to his already massive set.
We lost a good one. Prayers go out to his family and friends.
What a terrible loss. I only Berny from our interactions here and his presence on the forum but he was a constant welcoming personality here and a true chipper indeed. RIP
Berny hooked me up with a bunch of samples when I started out. He was such a cool guy. He has always been kind and hilarious whenever I messaged him. I would later find out he had great taste in music (he had rad band t shirts, let's be honest) and one of my goals was to meet him in person and tell him how cool I thought he was.
Woah unexpected sad news - like some of the others on here, he posted welcoming me to the forum and helped me find some chips I'd been searching for. it was well appreciated and made me happy to engage with this community after lurking for years...
thank you and farewell...
