Looking for Shuffletech Reviews (1 Viewer)

Beginning in February I'm going to begin my next table build for myself, and we use a dedicated dealer, so I'd like to hear what people have to say about the Shuffletech machines. I'm really thinking about putting one in the table, but I have a couple of concerns:

-It doesn't have the best reviews on the Shuffletech website.
-I only use bridge-size cards. Will these work?

Anyone's opinion who has experience using this machine or playing in a game where one is used would be most appreciated as this will greatly impact my decision. I've never used one before, but I'd like the opportunity if it's worth it.

I have one in my main table. I have to say if I could change one thing about my table I wouldn't get the shuffler

A. It's loud
B. It jams fairly frequently
C. Logistically it is a problem. You basically have to tell whomever is setting near it they are in charge of shuffling all night.

In practice it is hardly ever used in my game.

Thank you very much. Your table was the only one I could specifically remember having the Shuffle Tech, so I was really hoping you'd chime in. Also, a little off-topic, but where did you get your playing surface from?

Eric at Big Slik Poker tables had it made and installed. The surface is gaming suede. Now the surface is something I have been VERY happy with. Great amount of glide with just the right friction and a nice feel.

Hi for me works good in tourneys and heads up but only with poker size Copag Fournier kem is fine other brands more noise

What do they normally run? Same brand the casino uses?

They're $500. And no they're not the same as casinos use. Casinos use deckmates which are $15,000.

Opinions are divided about this machine. From what I've read, it's a little bit noisy and can slow down the play.

I have one and brought it to table once. I agree that the noise is disturbing and expected the Shuffler to be more discreet. Still planned to buy the adapter case and then put it into a cabinet. Working with 2 decks it could speed up my game as I'm the permanent dealer.

I think it'd probably be best to opt out of installing one. In theory it sounds great, but I've found videos on them and they really are loud and I've read so many testimonials about problems with jamming. I think they're just too expensive to justify what problems it might bring.

I think you have made a wise decision. Take that $600 and buy some chipes instead!!!!

Hey Moscow... I bought my table from Eric at BigSlik almost 3 years ago. At the time, I had a spot made for the CW-1 that was supposed to be released within a few months of my table build. To date, despite numerous emails/phone calls to Rick Schultz at Shuffletech, the spot remains empty. It's now an unfortunate running joke at my weekly home game - "Hey, put the cards in that great shuffler"... Just avoid that company if you can..,.

Great feedback on the Shuffle Tech. I have considered on of these for my personal table, but it appears the cons outweigh the pros at $500-600 based upon member comments. So I will pass...
