Tourney Looking for last minute advice on my blinds (1 Viewer)

Bounty tourney. 9 players, 15k starting stacks, no rebuys or add-ons. Looking for about 3-3.5 hours.

First two levels are a bit longer to account for new players slowing the game a bit.

Not sure what BB is ~6750 means.

Big blind is 6750. A good rule of thumb is that the tournament will end when the big blind is equal to total chips in play divided by 20.

The game won't end until the last two players average 10BB? That seems slow, but maybe it's just my group.

Last time we played, we had 10K starting stacks, 10 players, and 8 rebuys, and top 3 chopped in just over 3 hours.

That said, I can easily reduce starting stacks to 10K.

Thos rule has worked for me 95% of the time over several hundred games.

@grantc54, I appreciate your input. Your group must be much more stubborn than mine. Even with 8 out of 10 rebuys, it moved that fast. At any rate, I may drop the stacks to 10K. Hmm...

@grantc54 is correct -- your blind schedule above runs over 4 hours just to get to L11 (600/1200), which still leaves 113 total big blinds in play. Most events will end no later than 20BB total, and usually within a level or two of that mark. You're going to need a blind schedule that goes up to at least 3000/6000, and your current combination of stack sizes, slow increases, and blind level times makes hitting your target overall time impossible.

You can shave overall time by a) reducing stack sizes, b) eliminating small-increase levels, and/or c) reducing the blind level times.

For example, this structure will finish in under 4 hours (plus breaks) for 9 players with 15K stacks, using 22-minute levels for L1-L3 and 16-minute levels for L4+:
