It seems like the only time I take photos of my chips, it's because I'm selling them. Well, I thought maybe I should change that. I'll keep this thread, and add to it over time, posting photos of my collection. And maybe at the end, I'll take a few photos of the whole family. I'll just post one set at a time.

Not many "keepers" sets at the moment

Anyway, here goes. If photos are still here, it means I still have the chips. The chip graveyard is at the end of the OP.

Siam Imperia, CPC (Elephant and Crown)

I have always wanted a set on the E&C mold, and the Siam Imperia set, designed by @mipevi was the best I had ever seen. Anyway, I knew I couldn't design anything I liked better, so I reached out to him, to see if he would let me make a set with his design. He did one better, and let me make modifications to the set to suit my tastess (and even did the artwork for me!!). Obviously, I loved the originals, so my modifications were minor. So without further ado, I present to you, my new CPC E&C Siam Imperia set.

200 x 5
240 x 25
240 x 100
200 x 500
200 x 2000
60 x 10000

I'm not sure if the photos even capture how awesome the chips turned out. Love them. Thanks @mipevi!!!

Mel's Casino, CPC

Mapes tribute set -- thanks for letting me use your CPC design, @slisk250

300 x $0.25
400 x $1
200 x $5
80 x $25
20 x $100

I really wanted a set of Mapes (TRK are my FAVORITE), but I couldn't stomach the cost of the $1s, the difficulty to find $1s, the lack of fracs, and the fact that the $1s were in such worn condition compared to the minty chips available in the other denoms. So when I saw Mike's CPC customs, I knew what I had to do! Thanks Mike for letting me do it.

Sorry, the photos kinda suck. It's snowing in Seattle today, so I don't have much light. And it looks like I might have a finger print on the camera lens or something -- but I'm far too lazy to try the photos again. So hopefully you'll get the gist of the set. Enjoy.

Emerald Princess
<needs to be updated, snappers turned into $1s, and I will soon have awesome new fracs>

200 x snappers
500 x $5
300 x $25
300 x $100

Everyone knows, I am in love with TRK, and that Paulsons play second fiddle for me. However, I LOVE these chips. I think this is my favorite among Paulsons in my collection. Photos do not do justice to the $5s. I once did a voting at one of my games, where all players ranked $5 chips that I had in my collection -- the Emerald Princess won, running away, even against the likes of Dunes, Mapes, and PCA secondary (your results may vary -- but that's the way my crew voted). These chips wear so nicely, they feel like butter in my hands.

I BRIEFLY flirted with the idea of selling this set because I have a lot of tourney sets, and never host tournaments. However, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I love the look and the feel of this set, and there aren't many playable sets of these out there. Back in the chip vault they go.

So, I'm ashamed to say that I have not put these chips in play yet. I will do so eventually, using them as a tourney set with denoms of $5/25/100. The snappers are just eye candy, probably.

Enjoy :)

Here are a couple of the sets that I had to let go of:

I wish I had photos of the others that I sold, listed here so I can remember my chip sales regrets-- PNY, Vineyard, GV, Ritz, Dunes, Condado Beach, Tropicana, PCA, King's crown, GCR, Crystal Park, Aztar, Mapes, Money Tree, SDPM. Miss you.

What a GREAT set Mel! Those Fitz $25's and $100's are awesome. It's been a real struggle for me not to buy any... Your not making it any easier with those great pics!

Now time for some Dunes and Trop pics :)

Yep, those $5s are spectacular. Almost enough to give me the TRK bug...so when you move on from these next year, please keep me on your customer list.

Don't worry about starting a tourney at 5/5 or 5/10 -- it works fine. I do it all the time when some really nice $5 to $100 chips demand to be played.

Great set!! Always happy to see beautiful small crowns getting felt time.

Awesome thread Mel. I have always wondered, what kind of chip treasure you're holding [emoji4]

OMG...that is a beautiful sight, as you know i have a fitz set but i only have 2 TRK $5....daaaaaaaaaaaaammmm those are pefect but i think i would have had to keep the fitz $5 regardless of their condition but mixed is good too....(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

i hope your playing buddies know the biggest pot of the night might only get to what a rack of these run... :ROFLMAO:

OP updated to add this week's set, my Bahamia cash set. Please note the dire need for 6-7 more dolphin $5s. Doesn't that rack look pathetic?
A few more photos in my media album. I need photo lessons, but these should give you an idea :)

Awesome addition. Methinks there is nothing pathetic in that rack either ;) You will get it full in no time.

Can't wait to see the other sets...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Agreed. We've seen what she's sold, can't wait to see what made the cut to keep.

the Bahamias are so sweet when they're in mint condition !
I wonder how you to have always such great sets Mel !
One of these days, I'll become jealous !

Just 5 more sets, plus 2 "travel" sets, and then some "set seeds", which are sets I'm wanting to build, but aren't much more than a rack or two to build around, at this point.

While I love the Bahamia, they may not be "keepers" forever. My tastes have evolved away from the giant inlay (except in the case of Ritz).
So they may hit the classifieds one of these days. But for now, they make the cut. :)

Waiting in anticipation...

Sweet sets! Those Bahamia 1's make my mouth water... mmmm vanilla caramel toffee. I am pretty sure that is what they taste like.

Cool color combo on that $100 fitz in stacks.

^^^^ If so: Dibs on the Cactus Jack's 50¢!!! :ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Just kidding (not really!) as I know you'll keep 'em... I need a rack of hot stamped fracs Mel :(

Mel, guess what I found ...7 Bahamia chips floating around my boxes and they are all Dolphins. If you plan on keeping your Bahamia set then PM me your address again and I'll send it your way. These are not as nice a condition as your set but all the chips still stand on edge and clean looking. LMK

Set #3 posted: Empress primary

For previously posted sets, I'll remove all but 1 photo of each set, and with other photos available in the linked albums.

Enjoy :)
