Best advice:
Be kind and treat EVERYONE the way you would like to be treated. We are all just going through life together at this moment in time.
being an asshole just makes it less bareable.

Best Poker Advice:
Don’t care about money. If someone raises you and you are considering folding because ‘it’s a lot of money’. You’ve already lost

Favorite place: St John USVI.

First of all, congrats on your 10K @liftapint! That's quite an accomplishment! Thank you for running this cool giveaway. It's been cool reading the great advice and admiring all the places everyone has been. Consider me in!

I've been lucky to receive some great advice but one of the most impactful has been: "Always have a point of view". I've grown up as an introvert and have mostly shied away from speaking my mind but this single piece of advice given to me at the right time really made me understand a lot about myself and the world around me.

One of my favorite places I've been is Siem Reap, Cambodia. When I was in high school, a buddy of mine wore an Angkor Wat shirt with the temple as the background image. Since then I've always been fascinated by that place and put it on my list. Fast forward a few years and I discover that the temple was being eroded by acid rain so I made a resolution to see it before it took on any more damage.

Needless to say, I had the most amazing trip. I got to explore the many temples in the area (there's more to see than Angkor Wat), drank awesome Akgkor beer, ate ants(!), made lifelong friends (if you're looking for an amazing tour guide in Cambodia, let me know), and generally had my mind blown. A++++ Would do again, no questions asked.

In.

Coolest place was probably South Korea. It is my only trip to Asia, and was such a different destination it was pretty awesome to see everything. Plus it was for work and I got to do everything on the company dime.

My wife and I having been saving for a trip up the British country side but COVID kinda screwed up our travel plans for that.

In, thanks!

Best advice here has been to not touch or get samples of TRKs or else I would go even further down the chipping rabbit hole.

Best places I have traveled are Banff/Golden for nature/scenery and Israel for history.

In, ty!

Best Advice:
Enjoy the present and live in the moment

Favorite place I've travelled:
Specifically Australia, Melbourne Crown Casino Poker Room

I used to study in Melbourne and started going to the casino when I turned 18. Had lots of great memories there.
Went broke 3 - 4 times and had to walk all the way home (an hour's walk) at like 2am. Place trained me to be numb to cooler situations.

Also dated my hairdresser for about 3 weeks before she had to fly back to south korea for good. She had a one day stopover at Sydney but I was too broke to join. After she flew to Sydney in a night flight, I had about $400 AUD (this was for rent and food as well for the month) and went to Crown at 12am. Sat down at a $2/4 table and bought in for $200. Mange to get lucky (only played the nuts) and cashed out for $600 with a $400 profit by 4am.

Bought the next connecting ticket to Sydney for 6am and had an amazing time with her. Spent the night in Sydney and flew back to Melbourne the next morning after sending her off.

Melbourne Crown Casino where dreams are crushed and made.

1. Best advice from my granddad: Play with house money, tip the dealers and always give some back...they all need to eat too.

2. Favorite place: Hawaii, went to Honolulu for our honeymoon, and then to Maui for our 10th and my in-laws 50th

Best advice: It came from Chief Justice John Roberts. Asked about how he balanced his career with his family he said, “You have to remember this: if you want to spend time with your young children, you have to do it while they’re young.” Although I work in a competitive field full of workaholics, I’ve always remembered that advice, and it’s allowed me to give myself permission to put work second and my family first.

I’m in.

2) Where is your favorite place that you've ever traveled, and why? (can be in the US, or not)?

Hilton Head, SC . We started going down there 6 yrs ago for my wife and my 15th anniversary. We like it for many reasons ....... beautiful part of the country, weather is not too hot like FL or the Caribbean, beaches are gorgeous, they still have some changes in seasons (not like F'in New England's seasons changing daily with the weather), lots of golf, Savanah is nearby (we love that city), Charleston is almost nearby (we love that city too), lots of good food, very relaxing, we can drive down there to avoid all the stress of flying (yes its 1008 miles each way but its still a one day drive), they have Zaxby's down there and there is Cheerwine! :)

Also, there's a Krogers near our vacation place and I always stock up on their store brand BBQ sauce. For some reason, I love their flavors and usually bring home a dozen+ bottles. I also clean them out of Cheerwine to bring home. I can't get enough of Cheerwine. I thought Big Red in FL was the greatest soda until I discovered Cheerwine. My soda intake goes up 1500% while I have access to Cheerwine

1) Be Honest. Once you are proven otherwise, you can't get it back. -My Dad

2) British Virgin Islands. My inlaws took my wife and I, and her brothers on a trip around the islands. We rented a power cat and lived on it for a week. It is so awesome to anchor in a cove, then just jump off the back of the boat for world class snorkeling. I would go back in a heartbeat. Anchored among the boats in Cane Garden Bay at night, with the lights from the houses shining on the hills surrounding you, is a sight I will never forget.

In! Congratulations on 10,000 posts.

I've been to many places so its hard to just choose one.

2) My favorite place I have traveled to is: Yosemite.
I enjoy being with nature, seeing the animals, hiking the trails, and seeing all the waterfalls.

Coming in a close second is: France. Great wine, a lot of history, restaurants, cathedrals and a lot of attractions.

Hard to name a favorite of the places I've traveled, but I really really liked Hong Kong a lot (and when we where there we also spent about a week in Macau which I'm sure you degens would also love  :ROFLMAO: !), and I also loved our trip to Cape Town. Would definitely recommend both places!

Edit to add a photo I took in HK.

Best advice: the key to a successful marriage is a king size bed and separate blankets.

Best place: Montepulciano, Italy (Tuscany)

1) One piece of the best advice I've gotten would be... "work smarter, not harder. Then work harder" - no idea why I like it but just the idea of being creative by making work easier, but still working hard to accomplish whatever you're going for.

2) It's in the name! Adirondacks - NY! Lake Placid in particular but I just love the mountains! The way I feel on top of each peak is indescribable (besides physically exhausted  :ROFLMAO: )

I've posted this before but it shows two beautiful things at the same time!

I love to travel to Asia, Thailand.
The people are very friendly, it‘s safe, it‘s cheap, I love the beaches, traveling with only 1 backback and for sure I enjoy the asian food!!!
