FOR SALE: Set of 1,100+ Paulson THC solids in four standard East Coast cash colors, monogrammed on one side, Starbursts on the other.

* NOTE #1: These weigh in between 10.3g-11.3, depending on the color. So it seems very likely that they are leaded. But I haven't sent them to a lab or anything. They shuffle and stack beautifully.

** NOTE: #2: They have an “LK” monogram on one side. So I like to imagine maybe they once belonged to Lenny Kravitz. But maybe they were owned by CNN's Larry King. Or the architect Louis Kahn. Or Lisa Kudrow of Friends. Or some schlub from Jersey named Lorenzo Kowalski... It’s anybody’s guess.

PLUS: An option for an additional 200 extras in four other colors for $250 more.

OTHER NOTES:

* These work ideally for a 1/2, 1/3 or 2/5 cash game using the four main set colors; but the extras could be used to make it flexible for either lower or higher stakes, per below.

* The extras would be good to add .25c/or 50c pieces (the golds), $2.50 fracs (the pinks), $500s (purples) plus a higher/bonus denom (Dolphin Blues), or other creative options.

* The conditions are as shown, but are generally very good-to-excellent. These stack like the proverbial bricks, and have a buttery feel, perfect for shuffling.

* I believe most or all of the LKs are what some here call “LCVs,” the Long Cane Version of THCs. The cane crossing the top hat is slightly longer than on more common “SCVs.”

* I have found that these chips are super-durable compared to other Paulsons I have owned, showing very little if any wear over the years.

* If one wanted denoms/custom inlays, they could obviously be milled and labeled. But since the colors are so standard, I never felt the need to change them.

* This was my first “real” set, bought off eBay in 2017. I added the extra colors over time. Sad to part with it, but since I did a custom set it just isn't seeing enough use to keeping hoarding it.

P.S. I have periodically cleaned and lightly oiled these, but not in some time. I did not want to ultrasonic them for fear of degrading the hotstamps. But if one were milling them, or less concerned about the stamps, one could go to town cleaning them and they would likely brighten up further.

I could see this either as a great starter set for someone who wants to break into Paulsons (as it was for me) or a more elaborate project for a more seasoned chipper who wants to make a custom solids set.
