Sorry but I'm building up to the plaques, bear with me.
These have been offered on the chip board and am going to offer them here now too.
A set of 8 Large Greek Key mold Le Cercle casino chips. 4 sets sold so far.
I have many of these now, mostly in unused condition but all have been cleaned so look slightly "white" for a number of possible reasons. They seem to clean up nicely then go like that. There's nothing wrong with them but I think that another clean and an oiling (not my forte and I certainly ain't doing it) would make them look even better. Shiny, shiny as they say.
Most of these will be made into poker sets as there does actually seem to be an interest. Way too expensive for me though!
A "sample" set of the 8 is available although all are uncancelled (never seen before as the handful previously known were all notched, yes, all of them). Maybe you're contemplating a playable set but want to see what they are like first or maybe just want a set for posterity or just because they are beautiful but whatever reason (if any at all) drop me a line if so. Yes I know, the picture contains a £1 and £5 that will NOT be in a good set, they'll probably be 2nds.
A set of 8 beautiful LGK chips from a prestigious London casino with connections to many other important events over the years, well, I'd buy them so....................
The price is $100 a set of 8 (plus a damaged one to show what happens to some of them although only if mistreated probably). I actually think these type either weren't used much or even at all as there are many knackered ones in racks that look like they fell apart whilst being used, or picked up even, some are so loose. It's the sort of thing cash desks do when damaged chips come back to the desk but at least most of the still whole ones are looking great after the clean up.
I don't actually envisage many takers of single sets on here but want to offer them anyway. Poker sets will take a bit more time.
If larger amounts wanted they will be available eventually but again, please bear with me. They should also be a "2nd's" set that will have 25p and 50ps with wear/dirt and the £1s, £5s etc will have minor nicks, chips, dirt etc but all will still be presentable. I hope to put a condition guide in photos up soon if any interest in the possible sets.
Every set that is sold will be wiped/cleaned again and photographed before being sent so that the buyers (if any) will be happy with them. I will probably add a couple of other "bits" that may interest as well, only because I'm a soppy sod and want to give a bit more value. Plus if you like them you may buy a set of the other types too.
Larger amounts obviously will be cheaper the more you get. A single chip of any denomination will be $12 (plus postage). A stack of 20 will work out at $11 each, 100 at $10 each and any more than that, well we can haggle I expect/suppose. I am happy to post anything up to the value of £250 myself, it's just the larger lots I would prefer buyers organize.
Collection would be great for the larger sets, obviously but if not possible then I would prefer if the buyer arranges pick up/delivery and I will pack, weigh and measure all boxes so that it is easy to do. Sorry but there is no way I am posting abroad using the Royal Mail and other alternatives are available that you lot probably know a lot better than me so................
Sorry, every message seems to turn into a novel at the moment as I don't want to miss anything out and hope to do the stuff I hope to sell justice.
If I have not answered any questions that pop into your head, please feel free to ask, I'm on a massive learning curve and expect the odd hiccup here and there.
You know the funniest thing about it? I just bought 4 of these (with another and all notched) for $175 just 2 months ago, oh well.
I'm sure most of you are aware of the Bond/Beatles connection to this club although not these chips specifically and trust me ,they are really nice on the eyes and would great framed.
Sorry, well done if you read all of this, almost done.
Also shown are the jetons that will be the next thing offered as "samples" with playable sets probably also being available at some time in the future. Probably not so much call for these as they are pre-decimal but still, they are gorgeous too. They have the usual "jeton smell" (nature of the beast just like the plaques) but good luck finding any without, of any type.
I need a rest after all that explaining so....................enjoy the photos.

Any idea of the diameter of the jetons?
Hahaha, usual size I believe, no oversized ones so 40mms by my reckoning.
Sorry, dohhh! I need some sleep. Don't ask.
Jetons (not chips Garin ffs) are between 40mms and whatever that monster £20 is (61mms I'd say).
I will eventually measure them all but not now, please just not now.

Update.......
On closer inspection (and only because I have brand new and unused ones by the look of it) a lot of the £1s and £5s are very slightly rounded and I do mean slightly. I will take side on photos of a stack soon so you can see what I mean. I do have perfect in box ones that will be sent to the first orders of sample sets and can also send a "worn" one to show the comparison.

Can you post quantities please?
Not at this moment in time especially as the numbers will only be known when sorted and when grading has been done. The numbers given here are without taking into account the not for sale ones that don't pass my quality control so they could be a lot lower but most should leave me with options of singles or sets.
I can give you some sort of idea on certain ones but not managed the lot yet, sorry. I will do, eventually.
LGK chips - 25p about 85 at the moment with about half being in lovely condition and the rest dirty/worn but still half decent.
50ps same sort of numbers but slightly higher % of better ones I think.
£1s and £5s in the 100s so far but expected a lot of really bad ones. Only issues being the slightly rounded edges that stand out against the unused ones.
£25s mainly really nice and just over 100 of each so far. The black ones will need another wash for sure but in lovely nick. Purple - pristine so maybe backup?
£100s, grey need a bloody good clean (over 300) and the greens look pristine. Many centres have fallen out and actually do as I pick them up so it was probably an issue and maybe why the greens were used as they seem to be less temperamental but I could be wrong.
Jetons. (4 sets sold now).
Lots of 5/- and 10/- ones.
£1s - 100s of the buggers but red seems to be a bad pigment or something as probably half have "bubbled" and so show raised writing and are darker red.
£2s - about 300 and I don't think they were ever used. They smell a little stronger than the others as kept in a brown paper bags for, well, a long time. All have been wiped as slightly sticky here and there.
£5 in short supply which is a shame as I really like that one. Lovely shade of blue.
£10s (Only ever seen 1 of these before, same as the £5). 100 ish I think.
£20, an absolute stunner, also unknown previously. I think there are 78 at the moment and all look good so far.
Plaques.
This is the hardest part, grading them so I think you can half if not quarter the figures I will say now but don't quote me on anything until I am finished cleaning, sorting, grading and pricing.
£5 - there are a lot of these and most are actually in decent condition. Some have tape marks, brown edges and sticky bits still but will go through one by one so I get the final numbers of Great/Good/Bad/Awful etc when finished as with everything else.
£10s - same, lots with most in similar condition to the £5s above.
£50s now we get to the good stuff but worst condition so far. Many have had colour run, warping, fading and other issues. Some also have black spots where the ink has got together to have a party but mostly on the back so still some good lookers even with faults. Maybe 3 or 4 so far that are absolutely top grade.
£100s pretty much the same with these as dark pink and yellow plaques seem to have aged the worst of all (and red jetons). a lot are warped and some have colour run but in the context of what the represent, most are still collectable but the price will be much lower for the nastier ones.
£500s, again, sad to say that lots are like the 2 denominations above but I did find the number 0001 which was a whooppee moment. Again there are a handful that are in the best condition with quite a few "decent" and lots of manky one (maybe 50 or so).
As to the other later 1970s plaques, not many but nearly all perfect and with a "sweeter" smell so a different concoction of chemicals I think. 3 distinctively different smells makes me think 3 (maybe 4) different issues,
Oh and there are a handful of smaller £50s and £100s that were probably later but they have fared better than the original larger versions.
Sorry about being a bit vague but I'm struggling here and hope that this at least gives you an idea. I'm actually wishing you hadn't asked or I hadn't answered, reason why being............My fingers hurt so I hope somebody at least took the time to read this drivel. Can't help it, the more you write the more pops into your head. I want to try to do them justice and cover everything I can think of, stupid twat I am.
I'll stop boring the stubborn ones that are still reading by pissing off and guess what, more cleaning.
Pics are work in progress (first lot took ages) and good/bad ones for a comparison of sorts.
Boy, do I hope this helped.

The funny thing is that I'm not somebody who likes to talk (and yes, for good reason) but for something like this I feel that more information is better than not enough and I want to make sure I do this right for everybody.

$100 for a set of 8 jetons is all I saw.
Pity as they aren't that much actually, that's for the LGK set of 8. The set of 7 jetons price has yet to be decided but thanks for the comment.
Do you mean a different post perhaps? Or maybe my explanation was lost in the drivel (or on your computer not on you). As I said, sorry about that.
I think I get the point though. Too much for a set of 7 or 8 in your opinion? Fair enough, probably right so I'm glad they won't be that much. I was thinking more along the $50 lines as I personally think that is good value for 7 gorgeous jetons. Oh well.
When I list things I try to price them for a tightarse like me so that if I saw it I would either go, oh yeah I'll pay that no worries or if too much probably watch and hope the price goes down. Of the 2 items I have figured out prices for (LGK on offer now, jetons soon) I am happy with both pricing and would have snapped them up as soon as I'd seen them so personally I think they are okay. Just my opinion though.
Have a good one.

No, this post. I didn't read all of the post (on me), but I like plaques but when i saw the price I bailed. Just too much to wade through. More pics, less words. At least for me. GLWS!!!

Sorry but trust me I see your point.
I wish I could put it in less words but you can understand why, yes?
The plaques will be more than the jetons and chips but will try to make them good value so the more people can get the chance to own and maybe frame a set or maybe even just 1 from the set. I'm not really what you would call a Bond fan (more Elvis) but I'd buy one if I saw them and they were reasonable just for the fun and being able to say to people, you see that plaque...................
Cheers, have a great rest of the weekend.

Just for you BNM, better I hope.
A bloody site quicker and easier for me so.............
Almost all of these will be available in the near future if I survive that long.

I concede that the £5s are probably not shown on screen but I bet the cheap seats had some plus they were in the Beatles film so a nice addition I think.

As a comparison, a few years ago a massive hoard of over 30,000 (I believe) plaques, jetons, chips and assorted pieces surfaced from Crockfords and the Curzon House Club, very nice they are too, and most are now safely in collections. Not that many actually come up for sale which shows something. I have nowhere near that amount (probably 1000s in the end, yes but loads of wastage yet to discount) and I feel my prices have been fair and definitely comparable if not better in places. I also think that the casino carries a different type of prestige to those so.............

@WedgeRock can you read this for me and summarize it so I don’t have to? It’s long and I just don’t feel like putting any effort into it, but it looks a little interesting.
Sorry about the length (never said that before I must say) but necessary.
Quick version, found lots of chips, jetons, plaques (including ones shown in Dr No) and now gearing up to try to sell some to appreciative homes.
Hope that helps.
Oh and it says, tell all of your friends and buy some, now! Kidding.
Thanks, hope they give you the really quick version.

TLDR:
Only large key greek mold chips in OP are for sale. $100 each sample set shipped. Casino has provenance and was in movies.
Full greek key playable sets available later.
Jetons available later.
Plaques available later.
Easy for you to say. Only kidding, thanks for the summary. Shedloads better than mine...................

Ok, jetons now for sale too ($60 for the 7 plus a not so good £1 to show what happens when some deteriorate). Drop me a line if a set wanted. Thanks.
Short and sweet.

Update on grading of plaques...................
£500s as seen and titled. Probably 2 more lower grades and maybe another inbetween but getting there.
Hopefully within the next week they will be off and running, personal sales first (most lined up already) then here/chip board (maybe) and FB.
I hope to be able to cater for all pockets if possible but if not, sorry.

So much to explain for interested people, what can I say. Yes too much but hey, less problems for me in the future so it works for me.
These actually sell themselves but it doesn't hurt to help them along.
Obviously this is the wrong place for this type of material so I'll concentrate elsewhere, no worries.

Don't let the folks who struggle with literacy and have 3-inch smart phone screens get you down UK. Words are fine.

If you have a mid-grade set of the plaques, just send me a message and let me know a price. Then I'll tell you if I can afford it!

I think the rarity and diversity of these actually warrant the extra detail. Opportunities like this never come up in the UK— US members are spoilt for choice when it comes to high grade clay casino chips.

Personally when I buy casino stuff there are 2 things that "annoy" me. Firstly when somebody lists something and words it (or implies) so you think there is only one or just a couple so you pay (over the odds) and then find out they have loads and you've been "conned." Never about the amount of money, it's the principle. The other is when a generic picture is used and when yours arrives it is not as good (putting it politely) and you feel hard done by. I hope to make sure that neither of these will apply to these plaques (or indeed anything I sell on) that any lucky person gets off me. As a seller the only one that bugs me is when you ask (nay, beg) people to tell you they arrived safely and that they are happy and they don't, now that really annoys me, I hate ignorance for ignorance sake. Anyway, I will shut up soon and leave you all in peace. Cheers.

Very well said buddy, and I believe we have all been on the receiving end of bad transactions! You have been very clear on everything!! We are just anxious to see the plaques listed for sale!! Good work sir!! Fellow chipper Ben
