These are definitely not near mint, but they seem too sharp to be call used. I'm going to do it anyway - they're used. Anyway, judge condition for yourself, but they're all fantastic. Your guess is as good as mine on color, I selected the colors that were closest from my incomplete color sample set. Seems to be somewhere in-between Mauve and Maroon. Also not as close to Chocolate as the picture makes it seem.
About 67% of the hot stamps are in near-perfect condition (like picture #2 and #3). The rest are between slightly and obviously faded. All barrels are between 206.5 - 208g. Pretty sure they are leaded - they certainly feel heavier than they weighed out.
