[My apologies if this is a redundant post or it belongs elsewhere--I am a new member and my 'reply' posts on other peoples' related threads did not seem to be showing up.]

I recently purchased a Casino Royale chip set from Apache--specifically, the 5k, 25k, and 100k chips, and individual samples of the 500k and 1M plaques. This is a set I've wanted since I was young, and based on the numerous other related threads and collections, I am glad to see I am not alone.

Long story short, I am a really big fan of the look and feel of the Apache chips (recognizing they are slugged chips), but was disappointed by a couple aesthetic elements of the chips. First and foremost, I was disappointed to find out that the current version of the pink 25k chips come with 6 edge spots, rather than 4. Not only did the advertised design (on the website) have 4 edge spots, but so did the ones in the movie. Therefore, I am looking for anyone who would consider selling (or knows where I can buy, without making customs) the pink 25k chips with 4 edge spots, so that I can complete the edge spot progression seen in the movie and on the original set.

Second, though much less important in my mind, was the color of the pink chips. When making the purchase, I was aware that the current Apache chips were a duller pink than the Cartamundi version, so this was not a surprise, but I do like the look of the brighter pink chips from the movie. Therefore, if anyone has the bright pink 25k chips with the 4 edge spots, and think they would still be a similar feel to the other Apache chips I have (i.e., not ceramic), that would be even better.

And finally, setting the 25k chips aside, I would like to continue building out the set, focusing on the 500k and 1M plaques next. While I recognize that the Apache plaques are off in color, I can get over that, but they are not cheap. Therefore, before buying any more, I wanted to see if anyone had any 500k and 1M plaques you're willing to part with. If you have extras or are otherwise looking to sell, I am open to either the Apache ones (for a better price than I could get direct from Apache) or, even better, I would be very eager to buy ones that have a similar feel, but are more accurate to the movie colors.

I have been extremely impressed by the collections amassed by @LeGold, @Ben8257, and @TheADMIRAL (to name a few), but I know countless others have put together similar collections. If you, or anyone you know, has put together decent sized collections of these chips, please share this post with them or tag them below. I'd also just love to see more of these sets, as I try to decide how many plaques are/will be required.

If you made it this far, thank you so much for taking the time to read all this. I appreciate your help as I continue this journey!

These CR plaques made by @LeGold will be the most faithful replicas made to date, if you're looking for movie accuracy. No other plaques come close.

Second, though much less important in my mind, was the color of the pink chips. The official Cartamundi CR chips are indeed better than the replicas, but not much better. They are all slugged Chinese chips. The difference are the slight variations in color and the polish/finish. But yes, it's quite annoying how the pink chip is different.

These chips really should have been made by B&G. The Cartamundi chips are copies of the B&G JAV mold design. But due to movie contractual obligations, Cartamundi got the job to supply the chips and cards.

I try to decide how many plaques are/will be required.
If you want to follow the breakdown from the movie, this is the starting stack:

(40) $5k
(32) $25k
(40) $100k
(6) $500k plaque
(2) $1M plaque
$10M Starting Stack

So your STT (10 players) set would be:
(400) $5k
(320) $25k
(400) $100k
(60) $500k
(20) $1M
(1200) pieces total

Unbelievably helpful, thank you @sleepypiggly! I had not yet seen the chips side by side, so hugely helpful as I decide if I even want to replace/supplement my pink 25k chips with the other version, or just be satisfied with the chips I have. Assuming there's nowhere to buy the Cartamundi chips these days?

And thank you for the break down! At current prices (on Apache), the plaques alone would cost over $850 (including shipping), so definitely not spending that for the wrong colors. Do you know of anyone selling those (or others) in bulk for maybe a more reasonable price? I likely still wouldn't get the full amount, but to have a smaller set would still be cool.

You can try polishing the replica chips with the guide here. They will make the chips feel much better.

They were once plentiful as a commercial product sold in cases, but now supply has dried up.
They pop up every once in a while on eBay or other auction sites. Prices now will be higher than the replicas though. Sometimes multitudes higher.

@Asasino might still have some Apache CR plaques for sale.
