Jack Detroit Dealer Buttons.... (2 Viewers)

^ Agreed I like it but given the simplicity of the chip labels I was thinking less might be more in this situation. That being said I’m pretty much on board for whatever gets made.

In for one or two (preferably two different versions if we go that route)

Another, simpler design...

Might want to try alternating red and black lines in place of the dots, or make the entire button background black and have 2 to 4 red lines encircling the text

Like the Jack in the background, red and black dots seem a little “busy”. Maybe suits instead of dots?
Agreed. The dots were a place holder. I'm thinking the general consensus is to ditch the dots. I'm out of time but wanted to get the basic ghost jack in before I left it for today. I really like the jack. I'll try a different suit but the j of d works well because he isn't a profile like the others. He has depth. Maybe he needs repositioning/scaling but I dig it.

Okay. After looking at the various comments I've gathered the Detroit buttons need a certain "clean", "classy" simple look. I can't really afford much more time designing these so I thought I'd ask how the peeps feel about these two:

I'm going to be setting up the thread to begin taking orders later this evening if time permits. Tomorrow at the latest.

Thanks again, everyone. I hope these land somewhere within mosts expectations.

Steve.

I like them both and will be in for both! Thanks Steve!

I tried the tire idea you asked about. I couldn't really get it to work. The outline on the one I used for two reasons. It hints at a tread like profile but also has a Greek Town feel.
No sweat! I was just trying to supply some feedback/ideas. I think what you came up with is perfect!

I'm in for 2 for whatever the final is... I like all of what I'm seeing.

Hope you don't mind, but I used your design to mock up a few minimalist designs using my very basic MS Paint ability.

I'll buy whatever gets made, but I'd personally like to keep the shaped inlay design.

How about “A” with just a black background instead of the jack picture background. Leave the white border. Simple, uncluttered, and accentuates the “inlay” theme.

I'm in for a couple of whatever gets decided. Or ready for a vote. I'm gonna be on a goddamn crusade for years trying to scrape together enough of these chips for a real set. Might as well throw a button in there, right?
