How do y'all determine invite priority when your game is over subscribed? I've recently been getting more players than I can accommodate where I host(adding another table is unfortunately not an option), and was wondering if folks had thoughts on how I can make it fair and minimize feelings hurt so people want to keep coming back.

If you want to have a priority system for longer term members, just break your invites into multiple roll outs. Send an invite first to priority members. Have a delay period of either a day or a few days. Then send the broad invite to everyone else.

Priority for OGs / regulars or whoever. Then send out the general invite. If you don't RSVP before the broader invites go out you no longer have priority. First to RSVP gets a seat.

Might not seem perfectly fair, but it's a good solution. If you want to get on the priority list, play often, don't bail last minute, be a good person to play with.

The two-tiered invite system suggested above is probably a good idea.

Alternatively, if another table isn't an option, but there's clearly appetite for moar, consider hosting an additional game on a different day or a less regular basis alongside your normal game to sate the demand.

This is mostly how I do it. I prioritize it by the players that I enjoy sitting with at the table. Players that are fun, reliable, and don't leave three hours into the game.

If I can't fill the table with these guys. Then I move to the second and 3rd tier of invites.

If I am hosting a multi table cash game I pretty much invite everyone at the same time.

If you can't take the time to respond to my invites I will eventually stop inviting you.

I run a single-table cash game once a month and seat 10 players including myself. I manage my invites via Facebook Messenger.

I keep a leader-board using Keep the Score where I track attendance and the top 9 are designated "invite first". This group of 9 are included in the first round of invites and usually all of them claim a seat, but sometimes I will have 2-3 open seats after the first round of invites.

I then send out a message to my "Tier 2" players and collect a list of interested players (usually get 4-6). Those players then go onto the Wheel of Names and I spin it to fill the remaining seats.
