7. I reserve the right to: i) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; ii) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.

Yes if you bid $1,000 towards the end - and you win - you would have to pay what ever the last bid before your was. Just to make it interesting - if you are the person who bids the $1,001 - forcing him to pay $1,000 - I will give you 75% of the money he pays....
