I am reasonable, and understand/don't expect that most, if any, will be willing to sell "at cost".. But I do have my limits. I know how much I am willing to spend... My maximum. and I just won't go above that threshold.I suppose the fact that I have no interest in buying someone else their set for them (on top of trying to purchase my own) is what has left me "stalled" on this matter. I figure eventually I'll get this playable..... Or perhaps I won't.
Well you have been around long enough to know that sometimes folks are not willing to start a convo if they feel like there is zero chance for middle ground on price. I hate to be the one that says "list your willing to pay price" as I am not a huge fan of the flipping going on. But many others have found success after listing their ideal prices and then a potential seller might be willing to let them go in the similar realm of value. This does work, but again I think people are sitting on their hands until some level of established value levels out. There will always be a few willing to pay ridiculous prices to get the latest and (questionably) greate... ahh not even I can finish that one because I don't think they are. But we can agree on latest so let's stick with that one! Lol... Perhaps I should've explained with a bit more detail:

careful with such statements... before long they will accuse you also of writing "Ben Books"! Lol(too bad I can't just edit a previous post, rather than continually creating new ones... Or perhaps I should simply finish a thought BEFORE hitting <enter> Hahaha)
Oh sure, I get it completely... Yes, I've definitely been around long enough to know that. I certainly have entertained the idea of simply listing "my price".... And as damning (and childish) as it may be, for this one... I just don't feel like it. Sometimes being the new kid on the block with the freshest "new model" of anything demands a premium and there will be folks willing to pay whatever to have it. Good for them, the question is... will the prices level off or continue to rise like Jack Detriots and others. Tricky balance here of ridding the initial storm out and waiting for that balance whilst others are "filling in their gaps" making their sets to desired breakdowns. Then breaking away part of that would come with even more premium value added on.
I say list the prices you are willing to pay and hope someone wants to be decent and help a fellow Chipper. It is indeed still possible even today even though others argue those "act of kindness" have long since past. Chin up, all things are still possible and miracles happen every day brother!
