The black border on #1 and #2 will probably kill the inside color once it's printed. I like #4 a lot, great work!revision from J5!
Here he made the grass more like the flamingo logo, but had to move his leg to a slight upward angle.
He also did a variation where the bird is facing to the right with a dropshadow on the denomination.
I like that he removed the bird's "foot" on the second chip.
I asked if it would be possible to make the grass smaller to maintain the straight leg angle, but he said that it may be an issue due to the black border around the grass. It would be possible if the grass was a solid color, so I asked if I could see how it would look as solid black and solid green.
Would it be bonkers to have both orientations of the bird and logo on each side of the chip?

I feel like we are getting so close! Super exciting!
Are you giving up on the original design direction or just playing around here?Thank you all so much for all you input!
I just sent my thoughts to J5!
For now, I've been playing with the edge spots and colors.
Here are a few inspired by the AS HS tourney set:

I hear ya. A large part of the reason I bailed out on my last two CPC set attempts was because I liked to many of my options and I just couldn’t narrow down and focus in.I'm just playing around. I am so incredibly bad with making decisions like this. Once I get thinking about something this much I can't tell what I like anymore, or what even looks good haha.
I really need to start thinking about final colors though, as the spots on the birds will correspond to the base and spot colors of the clay.
The only major issue is that it seems like I need to stay away from certain spot colors because they may not look good on the bird (i.e. white), which may be a really shitty way of going about this.
Spot choice/progression as well as mold will be the last step I think. like
They're nice. However, at that spot level you're over $4/chip. At that point I'd probably be inclined to just buy the real thing and re-label.Thank you all so much for all you input!

Agreed. And FWIW J5 knows what he is flinging with CPC chips. I doubt he would design it if he didn’t think it would work.
