HT Depot Poker Chips (1 Viewer)

Hi All - new to the poker chip buying hobby and while looking for less expensive clay poker chips I ran across some on a site called htdepot.com. The site is for home theater equipment but does have some “Casino Royale Real Clay” poker chips. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this site or these chips? They seem different than what is currently out there under the same Casino Royale name, so I thought maybe they were an older version.

Those chips are Spirit Mold chips, which are a type of China Clay chip, one that's somewhat older than the more modern China Clays you can find today. Spirit Molds feel really good, very clay-like, but some of them are very brittle and prone to breaking, chipping, and flaking.

Alas, this is moot, because the HT Depot site is a ghost site. You can't actually buy those chips from them; they've been out of stock for years, and the site doesn't work. Many people in search of Spirit Molds have been disappointed by this very same page. Sorry to break the news to you.
