Most new Paulson chips are right around 9g each, with a little variation due to mold, color, etc. More worn chips can weigh a bit less.

Thank you

I got my hands on some live Aria chips. Looks like they average about 8.5g for the $1s.

The Aria $1s were some of the most disappointing chips I ever handled. I guess because they looked so good and they had a prolific poker room, I kind of felt like they might be like the grail of live chips. I dunno if it’s the mold or what, but after handling them, they’re not grails to me.

I feel the same way, which made me wonder if it’s because of the weight and why I made this thread.

I actually like house molds a lot, and some other Vegas chips I handled were uglier but felt better. For example, Mandalay Bay $1s are 9.5g. So perhaps that 1g makes a big difference.

YEAAAAGGHHH!!! To many decimals in your conversions to metric!!!

You only know the weight to two decimal places in ounces. There's no way you know the weights in grams to six!!

Rounding is your friend.

(sorry, a but of a peeve, especially since I got scolded in my chem labs in high school for doing this very thing...)

Thanks!! Good to know. Seems like newer vegas $1s are on the lighter side
