Big and small blinds for NLHE and PLO, and every player ante on stud variants. That’s how I do it.

Just make sure each game gets played for a full orbit, so nobody gets stuck playing an extra blind.

It would be easier to explain with examples of the blinds and limits.

Let's look at $1/$2 NLHE as a benchmark, so you're using $1, $5, and $20 or $25 chips.

If it's PLO8, go $1/$2, no different from NLHE. If it's limit O8, I'd go with $3/$6 with $1 and $3 blinds.

For Stud games, again, if it's PL, go $1/$2 blinds with a standard rotating bet like NLHE; if limit, go $3/$6, but the structure is totally different.

Have the dealer ante for everyone instead of per-player antes. It'll keep things simple and keep you from having to introduce a frac chip.

The dealer ante should be equal to $0.50 times the number of players, rounded up to the next dollar if necessary. If you don't want to have to keep track of that, just make it equal to one small bet, but be aware that this will be a little extra-large if you get short-handed. You can also tweak the game to your liking by adjusting the ante size up or down. Make it smaller if you want to favor nits; make it larger if you want to favor variance and looser / more aggressive play.

Either way, low card brings it in for $1 (or high card in razz). First raise is to $3, and from there you should have a cap of 4 or 5 total bets per round. High hand on board opens each betting round. In high Stud only, anyone can opt to bet the higher limit on fourth street if there's a pair on anyone's board.
