Not Mine Horseshoe Cleveland snappers (1 Viewer)

I have that one on my watch list, I bet it'll go for mid-200's at the end... which is a tidy profit if you got them at pre-sale pricing!

I don't know what this rack of tri-moon snappers will go for on eBay, but I'd be willing to bet money that these settle in the future somewhere between 3 to 4 dollars per chip.

Why do you think this? Relabel potential?

I don't see why they would go that high, when you could harvest any live 2.50 chip for less

Ya, relabel potential. These are in the category of epic IMO. Pink tri-moon chips are like unicorns, and these are minty fresh. Time will tell, but there's definitely a reason Jim was selling them at $2.29 per chip and the 8-spot snappers at $0.79. I think $3 per chip for these will be the absolute floor going forward. But of course, I've been wrong before :)

However, on the flip side of that argument is the fact that the PCA secondary fracs only go for between $3.50-$4.00 each, and those don't need labels... so I think the tri-moon's ceiling probably can't be higher than those, but who knows. Tri-moons are tri-moons...

spotted shaped-inlays 50c chips, primary and secondary.

Not that I'm aware, mostly because of these:

Yeah, Id say Jims pricing probably indicates he received 3X as many 8-Spots vs. Tri Moon. I agree that they are sweet chips, and great condition, but 2.50 isn't a traditional denomination where demand will spike because they are needed for playability. If someone is willing to drop $300-$500 per rack for a labeled frac, then their choices are endless...

Using the PCA as example, I don't know of anyone who has bought PCA fracs to relabel as a frac for a different set. I think their demand is from PCA owners who want real fracs...I could be wrong too though.

Ya, good points. It's tough to know what the market is for these. There are a few chips out there that fetch a pretty high dollar amount just because of their relabel potential. I'm guessing these will be in that category because of the tri-moons. If I remember correctly, the current Jack's snappers were selling for somewhere between $3-4 per chip for the same reason. Someone relabeled them into Le Cove 5000s on a current listing.

For me they were almost a perfect option for my Aruba Palm Beach quarters. Had been looking for a near-mint chip to use as a quarter in that set for a while. Ironically, I had purchased two racks of minty Horseshoe $1 chips long before the rebranding to use as $1 chips. Paid a premium for the condition, but casino used wasn't going to work for this set. Ideally I wanted something with three spot positions for both relabels to match the rest of the set, and these ended up working out quite nicely IMO. So now my Aruba Palm Beach set is more like the Aruba Palm Beach Horseshoe set, but that's ok :)

Note the label on the snapper is just there for the mockup. It will eventually be an inlay replacement like the $1 chips next to it.

I think these are from @BHB
They are mine. I ended up buying more than I needed. Thought I would put together a nice set to add to my collections - being from Cleveland and all --- but now going to sell/trade them except for a small cash set. Yes - some will sell for less than I paid for them - others for more. I sold one rack of the $2.50 for about $150 to one member. The other is on eBay. Plus I think I have one more.

WOW..........300-400 per rack of the tri moons. Crazy shit. I love my rack of tri moon snappers. If someone offered me 300-500 per rack I'd snap sell them lol. Maybe having a chip budget is a good thing for me.
