Thought I’d post a photo of my home game we did the other day.

Me and my mate decided to start running a home game maybe 2 months ago now we’ve managed t grow to 15 members on the group chat and on a good day get 10 players. Most of the players are new to poker or have very limited experience playing.

We usually do £20 buy-in and £5 bounty, we are hoping t get enough consistent players for 2 tables but find that new players are intimidated by trying t learn the winnings hands.

As we are new to this any advice or tips and tricks t help us run this home game are much appreciated.

Get a Brunson super system book and pass it around your group. There’s really no better primer to get you started. The rest is a lifetime of learning.

Just play and play....and then play some more. Over time, you will 'feel' things click and skills will improve.

Reliable patterns take a very long time to identify and then act on consistently.

Check out the SeasonStack subforum for discussion on point systems! Added level of competition is always fun.
