I hope you are never put in charge of removing the unnecessary text from stop signs.
I bet they are not as smart as you and your players as well. I think you are too smart for denoms. Maybe even too smart for chips?? I mean you probably don’t have to look into the pot and you know how much is there. You must play at home with a lot more dishonest people than I do.
FYPStuff the vast majority of home players are not thinking about:
* The guy to my right is playing 4 out of 5 hands, regardless of position.
* That other guy is raising big with small pairs, but small with big ones.
* The player to my left is raising his button 100% of the time over limpers, but almost always folds it to raisers;
* I have a flush draw, two overs and a gutshot, and I am getting 3-to-1 odds to call a bet from a LAGgy player on the flop. Should I raise, or just call?
Stuff the vast majority oh home players are thinking about:
* Wait, how much is a white chip worth again?
* Wait, how much is a red chip worth again?
* Wait, how much is a green chip worth again?
* Wait, how much is a black chip worth again?
I bet they are not as smart as you and your players as well.
Wow, gee thanks! But here are my customs.Hey, you have possibly one of the best custom examples of denoms not cluttering the artwork and you didn't post it??
But here are my customs.
A big part of it is comfort. I have played in many games that use a T2000 chip. Most people use a T1000 after the T500, but for some reason there are some outliers that like the T2000.
The T2000, creates very minor problems, that wouldn't happen if they just used a T1000. But you get used to it, adapt, and move on. If I always played in these games, I probably wouldn't think twice about the T2000. But I dont. I have to re-adapt, every time.
Non-denominated chips are the same way. Everyone has to adapt to your versatility. Every time. If the play regularly, they probably don't even have to think about it.
Comfort, when tossing about money, should be king.
Those chips would be so much better if they didn't have those silly numbers on them. Or edge spots. Or that silly decal. Or if they were made from clay. And if they had a gold starburst hot stamp.
I know! Slightly tilts me without the cents sign. But I couldn’t do the non-denom lol. The quarter needed some kind of identity. Custom inner ring was $3000! We should have made one for PCF but not too many plastic loversAnd you added a frac when nobody was looking, too, huh? That's a great design.
On-topic: Is it technically denominated though? Matsui doesn't have a cent currency symbol AFAIK![]()
You'd never make the mistake of forgetting what color represents which value yourself.
Do what makes you happy. Not sure why you seem to need everyone to agree with you?
some people are taking the OH HO HO I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU THINK THAT line.
And I expect those electronic tables to use no-denom virtual chips, too. Much better from a design/flexibility perspective.I look forward to @Taghkanic stumping for electronic tables once he has the revelation that it isn’t the denom that’s unnecessary, it’s the chip itself.
I obviously do not need or expect everyone to agree with me. But I do think it is worth trying to get people to think rationally about design and usability choices, and I’m not bowing out just because some people are taking the OH HO HO I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU THINK THAT line.

FYPHold on a minute while I grab my Non-denominated popcorn.
I obviously do not need or expect everyone to agree with me, or I wouldn't bother sticking around here despite a lot of (rather sloppily-argued) opposition and abuse. I do think it is worth trying to get people to think rationally about design and usability choices, and I’m not bowing out of this thread just because some people are taking a Homer Simpson-is OH HO HO I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU THINK THAT line.
