This is the kind of snarky-but-hollow arguments I’m hearing from the pro-denom camps.
Stop signs are a matter of life or death. Poker is not. Except maybe if you’re Worm and you’ve got a big debt with Grandma.
I bet they are not as smart as you and your players as well. I think you are too smart for denoms. Maybe even too smart for chips?? I mean you probably don’t have to look into the pot and you know how much is there.

We covered this already @Taghkanic - you have the distinct pleasure of having games with experienced, knowledgable players (and man does that sound like a hard game to beat...)
You'd never make the mistake of forgetting what color represents which value yourself. That's not the case with everyone's game. Denoms cut down on that confusion. It is an argument for the practice of artwork or chips with denominations.
Is it for everyone? No. I've played in dice chip games as far back as 2004 where people had no confusion about the values of those chips and we were using something like 8 colors for no reason. No big deal. I've also hosted some of the most educated people I've had the pleasure of knowing and they were absolutely gobsmacked by the whole process - they were messing up denoms on labeled chips, for crying out loud.

I like the looks of having a denom. Feels like its missing something if its non-denom. I have played a lot with both, and of course both works, but I much prefer denominations.

A big part of it is comfort. I have played in many games that use a T2000 chip. Most people use a T1000 after the T500, but for some reason there are some outliers that like the T2000.
The T2000, creates very minor problems, that wouldn't happen if they just used a T1000. But you get used to it, adapt, and move on. If I always played in these games, I probably wouldn't think twice about the T2000. But I dont. I have to re-adapt, every time.
Non-denominated chips are the same way. Everyone has to adapt to your versatility. Every time. If they play regularly, they probably don't even have to think about it.

Those chips would be so much better if they didn't have those silly numbers on them. Or edge spots. Or that silly decal. Or if they were made from clay. And if they had a gold starburst hot stamp.
I’ll agree denoms are a non-issue if you are doing white $1, red $5, green $25 cash game. That scheme is so prevalent that it’s pretty obvious what they represent. I play in some cash games with dice chips in that scheme and it goes fine.
I don’t think I could get away with that on my tourney set that goes 500/2000/10000 though. Or a game with fracs in play. Or Cali schemes

I know! Slightly tilts me without the cents sign. But I couldn’t do the non-denom lol. The quarter needed some kind of identity. Custom inner ring was $3000! We should have made one for PCF but not too many plastic loversAnd you added a frac when nobody was looking, too, huh? That's a great design.

I'm in same camp as nearly everyone except the OP. The main reason I even wound-up on this forum, was my want for a denominated chip set!
I don't host a lot of games, but even the "regulars" would have to ask occasionally what the values were. And the straw that broke the camels back is when I hosted a friendly multi-table game which included spouses and other "non-regulars" and the question came up far too often for my liking. Everyone has their own level of tolerance for this, and mine had been breached. Why not save myself this aggravation and simply get denominated chips? That combined with my desire to mimic the casino experience, and have real clay chips, it seemed too logical.
Anyways, this is what made me happy. Do what makes you happy. Not sure why you seem to need everyone to agree with you?

Oh, I could make that mistake... Anyone could. Just as once in a while (maybe once every 5,000 hands?) we all sometimes misread our hand.
But I’d only make the color mistake once; and it would be unlikely to cost me much, or cause the game more than a momentary one-time hassle. The off-chance of that happening is just not worth to me from a design/flexibility to put big numbers on my labels/inlays.
I look forward to @Taghkanic stumping for electronic tables once he has the revelation that it isn’t the denom that’s unnecessary, it’s the chip itself.

I obviously do not need or expect everyone to agree with me, or I wouldn't bother sticking around here despite a lot of (rather sloppily-argued) opposition and abuse. I do think it is worth trying to get people to think rationally about design and usability choices, and I’m not bowing out of this thread just because some people are taking a Homer Simpson-is OH HO HO I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU THINK THAT line.
Literally no one is taking that line. Everyone thinks it’s fine that you prefer non-denoms. You are the one refusing to accept our preference for denoms as legitimate.
Hold on a minute while I grab my popcorn.
And I expect those electronic tables to use no-denom virtual chips, too. Much better from a design/flexibility perspective.
People aren’t here because they’re looking for the lowest common denominator that will work. Chips are quite literally usable art, everyone does what they like and we all seem to coexist just fine.

I personally think having non denom chips is a horrible idea and it doesn't make any sense to me (accept maybe in a limit set). However, I would never think that you are irrational because that is your preference. Your preference, no matter how inferior is still your preference
