25c/50c Limit games
5c ante 10c bringin 25c/50c Stud games

Buyins for whatever, cap at $10 or 15 or 20 per hand (TBD)

Up to 8 players max.

What is a good 500 chip set breakdown 5c/25c/$1/$5 so that lots of chips are on the table??

160 x 5¢
200 x 25¢
100 x $1
40 x $5

That's a barrel of 5¢ per player giving you room for some $5 just in case.

I thought about this a little more... might this be bit better?
160 x 5¢
160 x 25¢
140 x $1
40 x $5

I know my other breakdown got the BGinGA seal of approval (Wahoo!!! I've made it!!) but it might be more useful to have extra $1's. This still gives you a barrel of quarters per person for any of your games but gives you some extra $1's for the higher-stakes games.

Actually, my preference would be:

160 x 5¢
200 x 25¢
200 x $1
40 x $5

But that's 600 chips, which is outside the scope of the OP's request for a 500-chip set. :sneaky:

It does, however, meet this criteria:
lots of chips are on the table

I think this is what I would have to go for as well... still plenty of nickels and quarters out there, but that extra rack of $1s opens up the door for slightly larger stakes and some bigger bets :)

I have a 500 chip case I’m filling with a set. If the stakes or game grow beyond the outline in the OP, it will be time for a new set.

I have a dedicated birdcage that contains nothing but the extra racks that go with various sets..... ;)

Enough for ten sets worth of extra racks. :)
