I know my other breakdown got the BGinGA seal of approval (Wahoo!!! I've made it!!) but it might be more useful to have extra $1's. This still gives you a barrel of quarters per person for any of your games but gives you some extra $1's for the higher-stakes games.

But that's 600 chips, which is outside the scope of the OP's request for a 500-chip set.

I think this is what I would have to go for as well... still plenty of nickels and quarters out there, but that extra rack of $1s opens up the door for slightly larger stakes and some bigger bets
