So would I! What the hell?!?

Apparently you have a bad lawyer. Any good lawyer knows that these scammers are guilty and should be punished

Edit: Their punishment is to offload all of their scammed BTP chips. The address to send these to is 1485 Cra... dr. San Jose, CA 95***

If I go to a hardware store and buy a hammer, saying I need to hammer some nails at my home in Texas, and then I go across state lines and use my hammer for a doorstop instead, and never ever hammer any nails with it, did I just obtain property under false pretenses?

If the store's policy is, "you can't use our product for X purpose," and you lie about your intended use, you have committed fraud.

Showed this thread to my lawyer. He laughed and walked off. What does that mean?

Shitty lawyer.

You've shown your ignorance on this one...the stores policy is just that, a store policy. It's not a law. You are an idiot. How old are you, 12?

This has absolutely nothing to do with a stores policy. How sad to be living in your parents basement, impotent, nothing better to do than pretend you're a lawyer. You obviously have a serious problem dealing with society. Do you find human interaction awkward? Do your palms and pits sweat profusely when you're around members of the opposite sex? Do you fantasize about having sex for the first time, or, perhaps just talking with a member of the opposite sex?

I’m not a litigious person lol. Just don’t understand where all this venom is coming from, it reminds me of some of the posters on the politics subforum.

Tbh, I like poker. I like poker chips. Someone made a post saying it's fine for consumers to defraud businesses. I simply corrected them. What you're doing is legally and morally wrong. But that's it, just my opinion.

Clearly USPS has come to sue as all for our lost mail claims

Ok, but nobody was defrauded in the BTP buy. If my facts are correct, the card room owner was up front with the Paulson rep, and said he wanted to get some customs sets for a couple VIPs, and the Paulson rep agreed to it.

And the casino owner gifted all the chips to you just because you drove 3 hours? You didn't pay him any cash?

Did anyone say they were gifted? I don’t see how that’s relevant.

Here's what happens. When the casino owner is facing 20 years in prison, he's going start becoming very honest.

1) Who are these mysterious "VIPs" the chips were supposedly purchased for?

2) What communications did you have with Mr. Chipperson before the chips were purchased?

3) How much time passed between the purchase from Paulsons and resale to Mr. Chipperson?

The legal system isn't so fragile that a "wink, wink" will keep you out of jail. If they wanted to prosecute you, they could. Please consider yourself lucky.
