Hey guys at PCF

Been lurking this forum for last month trying to establish where to buy decent enough cash/tourney set.

Played regular home games for years (also lived in my local casinos for all of 2016 and 2017 ) and I’m now in a position to host, we always have 8+ players up to 14 sometimes

I did go ahead and order some Dunes samples from Marlow casino chips, but I’m also in a little time constraint and should of ordered earlier as I’m going to be needing a set for around 3 weeks time. I’m hoping I’m able to get a set! If not maybe the week after il have to host.

All recommendations most definitely welcome!

Freddy

Welcome! Sounds like you have a solid regular group, thats awesome !

Hello and welcome!

You should NEVER rush to get chips. If you must, play with cheap plastic counters at least until you've had a chance to learn about the different types of chips out there, and even to get some samples to compare. Rushing leads to regret, even (or especially) if you have a lot of money to drop.

Welcome!

I recommend Apache as well, although that’s gonna be tough to do on such short term (what with shipping delays etc)

Take a look around the Vendor section, you’ll definitely find something useful there.

Take care and stay safe!

Welcome to the group, im also from UK theres a good few of us on here but im sure your already aware trying to source decent chips in UK is near impossible, same as with poker tables, thats why i build my own custom made tables! One bit of advice id give is get samples! Ive got s*** loads of samples lying around if yer interested i could post them to ye if youd like?

Welcome fellow UK member! This is quite probably the best best forum on the internet!

Advice is always available though any questions you may have are probably answered somewhere already. Like others have said get samples and don’t rush into buying!

Got a specific thread you can link in with a high level breakdown of what makes the "different types of chips" so different from one another? - Thanks.

I don't, because so much of what makes a "good" or "great" chip is in the eye of the beholder. Even something as seemingly simple as colour can be vastly different when seen in hand vs. on a screen.
