OK friends, I would really appreciate your input on something. I've been buying up solids in order to have a custom labeled Wheeler Assembly cash set made. I now have just over 1200 chips that are in great shape but no idea what denoms to use for which color. I am not bound by standard chip colors for denominations. I plan to send to @Josh Kifer for milling and to @Gear for labels once i decide what to do.

My group typically plays $.25/$.50 or $.50/$.50 but I'd like to have the appropriate chips to play $.50/$1.00 or maybe even someday $1.00/$2.00.

My table seats 8 players comfortably.

My chip color breakdown is as follows:
White - 200
Red - 116
Day Green - 284
Hot Pink - 265
Gray - 40
Purple - 175
Blue - 150

I am willing to trade extras to complete barrels as well or even get rid of a color all together.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO??

Thank you in advance for helping a dumb old Okie out...

How many racks of fracs do you usually put into play? I’ve heard from 80-200. I’m generally in the 100 camp now.
Blue frac
White $1
Pink $5 (if you can’t find more red)
Green $25 or Purple $20
Grey $100
That’s pretty good.

Though you could make any of the 100+ chip colors a frac, such as the reds and also make blues a $10 (if you were so inclined).

Cali colors?

Frac - Green
1 - Blue (you'd need more but blues are relatively easy to get
2.50 - Pink
5.00 - Yellow(might be tough)
20.00 Purple
100.00 Grey

Cash:
Purple Frac (100)
White $1
Pink $5
Green $25
Gray $100 (20)

And tourney:
Green 25
Blue 100
Purple 500 (60'ish)
Red 1000
Gray 5000 (20)

let's bump this again this morning. I'm really appreciative of the recommendations so far...

How big does your game play? $100 buyin with rebuys?
You could always go less efficient and more fun and make:
25c
$1
$2
$2.50
$5
$10
$25
that's pretty close. Some will buy in short at $40 but then re-buy. About half will buy in for $100

Keep 800:

Frac * Blue - 150
$1 * White - 200
$5 * Hot Pink - 250
$25 * Day Green - 150
$100 * Purple - 50

Sell:
Purple - 125
Red - 116
Gray - 40
Day Green - 134
Hot pink - 15
I think this plan makes a lot of sense. You won't even need that many $25's given that your game is a little smaller. You could also sell all of the purples and grab some black/charcoal/brown's for a $100 as an alternative.

I want to thank all of you for your input.

I think I've settled on the following set up:
$.25 - Blue - 200 if I can find 50 more
$.50 - Pink - 300 if I can find 35 more
$1.00 - White - 300 if i can find 100 more
$5.00 - Day Green - 200 if I can find 80 more
$20.00 - Purple - 60
$100.00 - Gray - 40

Personally, I would swap the pink and green. The jumps from .25 to .50 to $1 are 2:1. You will never need that many .50. And even if you don’t use a lot of $5 now, you can future proof your set for when you may need more $5.

100x .50 will be plenty.
