I've been trying to find this film again for years. It's a short film, I think it may be Belgian definitely European, set at a roulette table. The tuxedo clad gambler places a bet and lets it ride for each round continually hitting. You see the cigarette in has hand burn down and someone (the croupier? another gambler?) flicks the ashes and it is then noticed that he's dead. IIRC the final scene is the table being covered with a cloth. There might have been some epilogue text. No more than 10-15 minutes or so long.
IIRC I saw it in the late 90s (though the film itself could be 80s). It might have been on Bravo when they were more arthouse. It was certainly some channel like that.
