I'm looking at a possible web mold set, and looking to create a T100 tourney set. Below is where I am currently, but it just doesn't feel done.

I'll save my own thoughts for now, so as not to influence any feedback being given.

For reference, I'm continuing upon the theme/idea of my cash set (Royals with custom label) and T25 tourney set (cards mold) (both below). For more background on the initial theme/idea, you can check out this thread.

Would love any feedback or new ideas. Appreciate you, PCF!

Love the idea but think you need a little more contrast of colors on the 500 and 1000.i think they are half pie chips but can’t really tell.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback and will keep the color contrast in mind.

Love it, make sure 100 and 500 are clear enough. Those will get into play together an awful lot, the darker purple may look black

Will do! Considering changing the 500 to red…

I think the label leaves something to be desired. Might be too much going on in the top half. Need to simplify it somehow…

Love the design!

Only other comment (other than above 100 vs 500 separation) is that colors within each chip may not always print well (variation, printer capability). Within the green chip for instance it may be worth separating the like-colors a bit more. Want to make sure you don't get a print that makes it look like a unbalanced 4-color chip because a couple colors merged together.

Edit: also, the "5" in the 5000 (and "2" in 25000) inlay may be a bit close to the edge, I might recommend just a hair more margin so it doesn't get cut off on some of the chips. You could also slightly shrink the overall design, or just take the gamble and order a few extra as well just in-case.

Maybe its just me, but i would love to see the Text centered here.

I was thinking about this.. I think that while the angle looks good in statically oriented digital media, people will just center off the inlay anyway in reality and the chip edge will look off-axis.

Personally though I prefer V1 of the design with the mill mock-up in the background, but maybe just me. In the end though I think both designs are still very good (with vs without).

For the T100, maybe a single light grey colour (solid) to contrast with the purple T500.

I had originally thought about doing the T100 as a solid. I would most likely change the progression if I went this route. Here is a version with gray T100 and purple T500, and also their respective black and red versions.

Thought about that also.

Since these aren't compressed clay spots that are physically pressed together, you can design the spots however you want, how about sawtooth pattern instead of straight lines between each pie?
Don't know if I'm following. Is there enough space in there to print something like that clearly on the chip?

Couple examples:

Sawtooth design on the chip around the inlay:

Sawtooth running up the edge spots:

Or change edge spots all-together to make use of sawblade/etc.
Thanks, I wasn’t near a computer to mock up what I meant, which was the latter example. The first one is cool too but might be too busy with the mold maybe?

Agree.. but hey, maybe @Dodger wants to drop An extra $2k to get a custom saw mold from Tina. Ha

Love the design as it has evolved to version 3. I also love the idea of incorporating a blade shape in the color contrast.

Thanks for the visual. Agree with @TheOffalo that it may be a bit busy with the mold.

Gonna need the mill to turn out a different kind of paper for that. :bigbucks:

Really like the second one.

Curious, what's driving you to want a third Mill set in the first place? Love your prior two as well.

Looking to create a tourney set with base T100. Other sets are T25-base and a cash set. I could add-on to the tourney set I have now, but it’s more fun to create something new.

Your colors are looking much better!! I like the second draft colors and spot choices the most. It’s your choice though. Looking good!

Playing with a different font, and adding in a comma for the higher denoms.

I think I like the previous denom font. With the new one being narrower and the italics, it seems a little more off balance, but just my initial impression

Because of the primary logo and denoms are skewed and tilted off axis, being off center works here. If you try to center the secondary text, you’ll end up visually pinching the space on the bottom left, and a big white hole on the right…

***regarding the comma? It’s a cleaner design without.

Still prefer this version.

If going to the new though, would agree with dropping comma, also would remove underline on E.

Probably an optical illusion but with the small slice of pie on the right side of the T500, and the tilted design of the label, it almost looks like the label is quit a bit off center to the left.

What might help that is if the lighter smaller pie didn’t go in all the way to the center but ended at the inner border of the web mold.

I do notice the off center effect on the other denoms too but just not as prominent. It just makes everything feel ever so slightly off.
