Poker novice here and my apologies if this is the wrong forum. I am designing a custom poker set for my husband and would like advice on a reputable vendor and guidance on what to purchase. He usually has no more than 4-6 players. I would like to add 3-4 logos or initials. Thank you in advance.

Welcome. A lot depends on budget. Chips can be fifty cents apiece or $5 depending on what you're after, so starting with an all-in budget is helpful.

There are a few graphic designers here who can help. But before that do you know the details of the game they play? 5 cards draw, hold em, omaha etc. And do you know their buy in, blinds, & other things they include in the game like bomb pots. Once you have a design check out Broken Arrow Card Supply in the vendor section on the homepage. They run a GB every month; and have chips for less than $.50 a chip. Also recommend you buy some samples from all the vendors you find before you take the plunge.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. They play hold em, and I don’t think there are any other things they include in the game. It’s a pretty casual neighborhood group.

Custom Tina hybrids from Broken Arrow recommended above is what I would suggest. Also do you know if they play cash style or tournament Style because that's going to impact the denominations that you put on each chip.

Cash style. Thank you
If going with Tina hybrids, you have several choices.

You could pick one of many predesigned sets that Justin offers on his Broken Arrow vendor page.

You could have a custom inlay designed to use with any of Justin's chips designs.

Or you could design a completely original custom set.

If you want something truly high-end; something to be really proud of and pass down to the kids one day, then go with CPCs.
Play around and create your own chip spot and color designs here: http://www.pokerchipdesigntool.com/
Hire a designer to help create your custom inlay design.
Then order chips from CPC. You will pay around $3-6 per chip. But you will get real compressed clay chips and they will be magnificent!

@RockyNacho - a couple of foundational questions for you:
1. Do you have a budget?
2. Can you help us understand what he plays with now? If you don’t know, can you take a photo of some sample chips so we can see?

With these answered, we can help guide you on some appropriate directions at a high level and then help set you up for success.

Like most things, there are various price levels and options available for custom chips ranging from 30¢ to over $5 each, each made differently. If done well, any of them can be a great personal set. So we’d like to point you in the right direction.

If you like to research, we can gladly give you a few websites to check out if you want to dive into it. You can also get lost in this forum if you’d like.

Regardless of which path you take, I’m sure he’ll appreciate you making the effort and we’d like to help you succeed.

Feel free to DM me if you still have questions. I can get you well on your way with many options to get you the best bang for your buck and offer some free advice and design basics.
