Wanted Help Building a RHC set (1 Viewer)

Hello all!

I am looking to upgrade to a complete set of Paulson chips for the first time. It is my understanding that used RHC seems to be the way to go for the cheapest starter option.

I am looking to pick up 200 1s and 200 5s. I am looking to pay around $1.50-$2/chip. I am a huge fan of the Jack Cincy chips, but it seems like it will be difficult to get them unless I buy a full used set out right.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am still new to chipping, so would you recommend purchasing by the rack as they come up, or wait for a nice set at an affordable price to come up.

There is more competition for single racks than sets given the upfront cash outlay. The result is that single racks will typically have higher rack pricing than sets, and you will miss out on a lot of sales.

If you have the cash and see an opportunity, buy the set, figure out what you actually need, then sell off the rest.

(then regret what you sold and buy them back later at a premium).

My first Paulson purchase after samples was this great custom murdered RHC set. It’s a great way to get quickly into a playable set. You can really get to know what it feels like, how your players respond, etc. Building a set rack by rack can take a long time so if I was you I’d probably buy a set and then build another dream set on the side. Once you complete your dream set you can liquidate your first set! (Or not!!)

Thank you all for the help! I have some Jack cincy 1s on the way, those will help me decide if I want to complete the whole set. Now, it’s time to find some fracs! I will be going down the rabbit hole and searching for some fun ones to spice this set up. For now, if anyone has some fun colored chip suggestions, I’d be happy to see them! Right now, Casino Aztar snappers seem like a great option for relabeling at a solid price, if anyone has those, let’s talk!
