Headphones (1 Viewer)

Im using the Sony WH-1000xM2, which i am super happy with. I'm sure you can save a few bucks ny getting this model compared to the xM3 version, and still be very content with your purchase. My gf is using the Bose QC35 something and they are also very nice. They feel somewhat lighter. Both are good options, and I would try them both to see which you prefer. It might be a tossup, and you can just look for when either of them goes on sale. They do so from time to time over here at least.

I use them always for flying and on my daily commute. I bring them to play poker in a card room as well, but dont use then too much, just when im steaming, lol.

Edit: didnt read the update! Grats on a new headset, and awesome that you are gappy with them!

If you want wireless earbuds that sound fantastic and have great fit options I cannot more highly recommend these, I fucking love them: Jaybird Tarah Pro

I've also purchased a pair of Philips with active noise cancel for the comfort on airplanes.
And something that I was not expecting it's that the Philips brings in the package an airline headphone seat adapter.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know....

However, I've got about 20 flights coming up this summer and a bunch of poker planned so I'm thinking about ordering a pair of headphones for travel/poker. I generally don't wear headphones at the table, but if I'm running uber bad at a casino I generally put them on to focus or if I have a neighbor I can't stand. I never wear them at home games.

Something that doesn't cost a small fortune would be ideal, but I'm looking for something comfortable, with a decent battery life (12+ hours would be great) and comfortable. Will spend a few hundo if needed, but would rather not if I can avoid it.

Anyone have anything out there they use/recommend for these purposes?

Played at Foxwoods for a few days in March and witnessed a player wearing headphones calling a pre-flop raise and the c-bets on the flop and turn. The aggressor announced he was all-in on the river and threw two redbirds across the betting line. The other player said "I call." and tossed in his $10 before the dealer could pitch the all-in disc to his opponent. Chaos ensued. The headphone wearing Hero wanted to see what the villain had or to show him or the table that he held a queen high flush draw. Hero didn't hear the Villain's all-in declaration. He tried to squirm his way out of it by rationalizing that he would never call Villain's all-in with Queen high and that the Villain did not have the all-in marker in his possession when he made the call. The floor person was called in to settle the dispute. I chose to get involved by telling the floor person that I heard the Villain clearly state he was all-in from my seat on the opposite end of the table. Needless to say, Mr. Headphones lost his case and had to surrender his remaining $183 to the Villain.

Don't be that guy.

Agree with this, but i still sometimes wear headphones while playing. It is a nice way to take a break when not in a hand. But of course, take them of when involved in a hand.

I ended up buying a pair of the Sony WH-1000xM3 headphones, thanks to those who posted reviews and videos. They are awesome! Only beef is that incredibly short charging cable, I can’t understand why they would build it so short.

I just use another USB C cable that I keep in my bag. Still loving mine.

Apple AirPods bro, best money I spent on ear phones!!! I even use em to mow the lawn lol
I don’t suggest headphones generally. You miss out on information sometimes. But I’ll 2nd the AirPods or a generic version.

I don’t have another cord, but I’ll be picking one up shortly. The headphones are amazing, built very well and the sound is beautiful.

Bose QC 25’s for the win. Can be had new for $100, aren’t too big, sound great and work well on planes. And heaven forbid you lose them while traveling, you’re only out $100.

@Payback

Go with the Sony over the Bose. Bose was the leader for many years but lately the Sony edged them out in sound and quality. I had this same question when I purchased mine last year and have been very happy with my Sony headphones after being a Bose owner for years.

One of the features I like is you can place your hand over the ear cup and it allows you to hear someone talking to you. Remove your hand and it goes back to noise canceling.
