Just 1 small pallet. Could it be a set of leaded THC spotted hot stamped tournament chips?
I’m impressed. After all the sales over all the years that’s the only boxes of chips you have?

I used to collect stamps, and an old old old man (90+) told me you can’t be a collector and a seller. You have to pick one or the other, because the good stuff is what brings you the money.

I can only hope that is the causeway or twin span in New Orleans and you got the Harrahs chips.
I was going to say that kind of looks like the causeway, but you wouldn’t normally drive that way to get to NC from NOLA. Could be the twin span though!

OK, going to need to hear more about what was going on at Harrahs because the lane markings for the twin span sure as hell look like the ones in his picture.

Hmm. From Wikipedia, my emphasis added.

In July 2020, Eldorado Resorts acquired Caesars Entertainment (the former Harrah's Entertainment), taking over operations of the property. In connection with that acquisition, Vici Properties bought the real estate of Harrah's New Orleans for $790 million and leased it back to Eldorado (newly renamed as Caesars Entertainment).

In 2020, it was announced that the casino will be renamed Caesars. As of July 2023, several renovations both inside and outside have been completed. The conversion from Harrah's to Caesars will be done in phases while keeping the casino open. The first phase of interior renovation completed and opened was converting the buffet, closed since the beginning of the coronavirus, into a new, large high limit table games area. Other conversions completed and new features include a sports book area and converting the theater into a new food court featuring 3 celebrity chef restaurants, including a burger restaurant and a pizza restaurant. The conversion to Caesars is expected to be completed in 2024.

The original Iron Mountain records repository is about 8 miles from my house. It’s a cavernous underground facility which served variously as an iron mine, mushroom farm, and Cold War bomb shelter for Fortune 500 execs.

I didn’t know storing poker chips was within Iron Mountain’s bailiwick. I may now have to organize an Ocean’s 11 style team to raid the cave.
